How Ya Like Your Eggs
(C) 2002 Cindy Miller/ Elizabeth Marquez
VERSE
Bumped into him at the market
He was checking out the melons
I could tell he had a line in mind
Made me wonder what he was sellin
He had some items in his cart
Orange juice, berries and bread
He looked at me so confidently
When he picked up a carton and said
CHORUS
How ya like your eggs(in the morning)
Scrambled, Sunny side, or Over Easy
I need to make sure I get this right
Before you spend the night with me
VERSE
At first I thought he had some nerve
His arrogance got me burning
I wanted to turn and walk away
But soon he had me yearning
Guess I stood there a little too long
While we lingered in the pastry section
Staring at him as he walked away
The buns he had were pure perfection
CHORUS
(And I said)
How ya like your eggs(in the morning)
Scrambled, Sunny side, or Over Easy
I need to make sure I get this right
Before you spend the night with me
BRIDGE
He sure can cook up some steam
A perfect chef in tight blue jeans
He put some spice back in my life
He had the ingredients to my dreams
CHORUS
(And I said)
How ya like your eggs(in the morning)
Scrambled, Sunny side, or Over Easy
I need to make sure I get this right
Before you spend the night with me
