Model Europian Parliament 2000

These are the pictures of the Naional Europian Youth Parliament of September 2000.

With the Europian Youth Parliament you imitate the real Europian Parliament. It's all about to make a resolution with your comission and you have to make sure it survives the voting. In the end you take a look at the resolutions of all comissions and there will be a voting if they will be accepted or not.
To go to the national, first you have to go to the regional. The regional for my school was in Lelystad. At this regional I was with the commission Agriculture and we talked about genetic manipulation/modification. I belonged to the 10 happy people from the provence Flevoland who could go to th national.
At the national I was in the Commission Liberties and Rights of the Citizen, Justice and Home Affairs. We had to make a resolution about how racism, fascism and extreme nationalistic behaviour had to be approximated in countries of the Europian Union. Maybe it sounds a little bit boring but I really have to say it was very cosy. We were in Middelburg, Zeeland, together with the commission Agriculture for th first three days. In Middelburg we had the commissionmeetings. After these three days we were in The Hague (Den Haag) for again three days. Here we talked about the resolutions with our delegation. Together with all the other commisions in The Hague we... Well, let's say it was very cosy there too! .

In the train Liselotte and I (from the delegation Flevoland) met other "MEPPERS" who also went to Middelburg.

At the Pizzeria

Yeah you're right, whoaaa... It's me again.

The first night in Middelburg we ate together with the two commissions at a pizzeria. The other nights you had to eat at your hostfamily (fortunately!). Well... Look for yourself at Gian's pizza! I'll say it this way, it was cosy but the food... please, let we leave it at that!
