In time Kiwi and one her other siblings far off were the only living remains of the family. Kiwi's days of running around in the sunshine, playing fetch, having her tummy tickled were fading away. She could barely walk, or climb the stairs. She could never control her bowl movements, and she was always in pain. After a year of medication and shots, she was finally diagnosed as incurable.
She always hated riding the car. She knew it always meant "shots". But she wouldn't have to worry about taking another ride. Picking up her kid owner in the car from camp, the mom owner handed the t-shirt that Kiwi was going to give her kid owner for her birthday. After a brief walk in the vet office garage, Kiwi was drugged and put to her death.

Kiwi went across the bridge to Dog Heaven, where all the dogs of the world were able to run free without a care. And each dog was given a special power in heaven. They were also given the choice to share their power only in heaven, or with their loved ones down below. Kiwi was givin the power of fortune telling. And because she had such a kind heart, she chose to share it with not only her loved ones down below, but to anyone who would want her guidance.
