| Double Dragon |
 |
Wow, realistic beating people up who stole you girlfriend game. And with
a friend too! I must have spent loads of money on this one. |
| Pitfighter |
 |
Another beat em up, but this one had digitised people. Choose from three
sad blokes in tracksuit bottoms and fight in warehouses etc against other weirdo's.
If you try to chicken out the crowd hit you and throw you back in, Great
fun. Two player too! |
| Smash TV |
 |
I think the arcade version of this was probably the best out of the lot.
It had two joysticks each and that made it the easiest to control. After
this the SNES version had the next best controls and was the nearest
conversion to the arcade |
| Vendetta |
 |
4 player beat em up. Well that says it all really, four characters loads
of items to collect and smash into peoples heads. Fantastic. |
| Golden Axe |
 |
Medieval beat em up. A barbarian, a lady barbarian and erm a dwarf.
Swords, axes, monsters etc and cool magic. |
| Wonder Boy |
 |
Great platform game where you have to rescue your girlfriend. Search
through forest and ice caverns, use axes and skateboards to get through. |
| Narc |
 |
Damn those evil drug pushers. Play your part in the fight against dirty
drug peddlers. Blow scumbags away with your gun, run them over in your
sports car or blow them up with missiles. Quite bizarre end of game boss
though, anti-drug game with a big monster head as an end of game boss. Are
you sure you handed all the evidence in guys? |
| Final Fight |
 |
Beat em up severely in this button bashing frenzy. Three characters to
choose from, tons of bad guys to beat. Bonus rounds like smash up a bad
guys car in thirty seconds. |
| CrimeFighters |
 |
Prelude to Vendetta. Up to four players can take to the streets and beat
the crap out of everyone, including each other. Gets kind of stupid at the
end of the game when all of the bosses (which are really hard anyway)
attack you at the same time. Seemed like a shameless attempt at getting as
much money out of people as it could. |
| Shinobi |
 |
Memorable music which they kept when it was converted to the consoles.
Prelude to Shadow Dancer. Shuriken throwing guy rescues kids tied up in
little bundles. |
| TMNT |
 |
Cheesy fighting game based on the characters from the cartoon, along
with a limp story line and limited control over the moves. Spiced up by
the four player mode and being 14 at the time. |
| Outrun |
 |
Great racing game in which you drive a nice red open top, and your
girlfriend rides alongside to tell you off when you crash. |
