I'm guessing that since you are reading this page, you either have no life, or you want to know something about me. Since I can't do anything about your life, here's some stuff about me......
For starters, I was born at a very young age. Since then, I have gotten considerably older. Surprise surprise! Anyhow, now I am too old to be considered young, but too young to do anything. It's a fun place to be. My parents are constantly having to remind me that YES, they are older than I am, and YES, they do know better than I do. My younger sister helps them out all too often. I am the eldest child in my family, followed by my sister, two dogs, two goats, two cats, two birds, and a guinea pig.
Currently, I am still a high school student, although I am longing to finally be done and move on to something else... probably more school work... :( I have no real idea what I plan to do with my life. The standing joke is that I plan to go into the electoral college, but hey, no one really believes that. I guess my ambitions are just to be the best that I can be in God's eyes, and leave it at that. I have no idea where or what he'll lead me to, but when he does, I'll be ready to go. My future is in God's hands, and that's where I intend to leave it. With that said, however, I have deep interest in communication forms of all sorts, and also in our political system. I really enjoy messing around with speech and rhetoric, as well as other forms of communication, such as the phone, instant messages, and email. I really enjoy attempting to understand politics and government as well. Some of my favorite topics for analysis are communism, democracy, anarchy, etc. They really are fascinating if you think about them. Because of my strange interests, I deeply enjoy doing policy debates. I have been active in the NCFCA debate league for the past three years. (This year being my third year.) I love debate-- particularly the cross-examine! I have thought about law as a career, but do not think that I like school enough to stay in school for another 6 billion years in order to pass the bar... :) Anyhow, as stated before, I am leaving my future in God's hands.
Aside from school (for all you homeschoolers out there, YES, there is more to life than just school!), I enjoy hanging out with my friends, reading, shopping, talking on the phone, and hanging out at my church. Oh and of course, playing sports. This year I played soccer in the spring, ran cross-country in the fall, and played basketball in the winter. What a busy year! I play forward and stopper in soccer, and bench in basketball. (Very few people can play ever single sport really well!) For church, I am a member of a PCA church called Redeemer. I've been going there for almost 12 years now. I am very active in my youth group. I am the communications director for the youth, I help teach middle school girls, and I also help with the first grade sunday school class. It's awesome to work with kids and early teenagers. You can learn so much from them! My favorite place to go shopping is Walmart-- simply because I am always broke. (That happens when you have no job other than babysitting!) I have forsworn Abrocrombie and Fitch. I will never shop there EVER because I am not going to pay good money-- a lot of money, I might add-- to be a walking advertisement for a store that I don't even like. :) Just my personal opinion. And of course, I love hanging out with my friends. The best place to do that is either at a cozy coffee shop, drinking warm coffee or cold frappachinos, or sitting out in the sunshine on a beautiful day. When I'm not busy hanging out, doing school or helping out somewhere, I love to read. My favorite book is "Dr. Faustus" by Christopher Marlowe. Second favorite would probably go to "Animal Farm" by George Orwell. And third would have to go to the Lord of the Rings trilogy by J.R.R. Tolkien. (I can't wait to see the movie!!)
Well, I guess that about covers my life... For more details about any one part of my existance, please select the specific webpage dedicated to that topic. You can access a listing of them from the Main Page
