In the very very beginning, God created everything- the angels, the worlds, and the human beings. There was the Assiah, the seven layers of Heaven, and the seven layers of Hell. The first angel god created was Adam Kadamon the six-winged 'serafita', who was genderless. It was said to be that Alexiel and Rosiel were the children of Adam Kadamon, so they both had 3 wings, halved from Adam Kadamon's. Alexiel and Rosiel were twins, and opposites of each other. Alexiel was the Organic Angel, female, "positive", and beautiful. Rosiel was the Inorganic Angel, male, "negative", and...well, they're twins so they look the same...

Alexiel and Rosiel were the highest ranking angels (well, maybe under Adam kadamon) in Heaven. Both beautiful and powerful. Yet God liked Rosiel more, preferring him than any other creature in heaven, while he disproved Alexiel for even having the right to live on the top layer of heaven where God lived.

Some time later, Lucifer, who was called Lucifel before he became a Fallen Angel. Lucifer rebelled against heaven and fell, and those who followed him fell as well, and became demons. The greatest ones became the Seven Satans. Each one with a deadly sin- Belial(Pride), Asmodeus (Lust), Mammon (Greed), Beelzebub (Gluttony), Astaroth ( Sloth), Leviathan (Envy) and Barbello (Wrath).

Alexiel had had a demon-sword called Nanatsusaya Mitamanotsuragi ("Seven-Bladed Soul-Sword") during her life. Which possessed the lost soul of Lucifer, whose empty body has turned into the grounds of the deepest layer of hell. Nanatsusaya was a evil sword who would corrupt all of its masters' minds, but somehow it could not control or corrupt Alexiel. For this, the sword had formed a certain bond with Alexiel. After Alexiel was judged, it moved out of the sword and went to Assiah to look after her soul by entering dying people's body who were close to Alexiel's current reincarnation. Every body that contained the soul of Lucifer will have this blood mark on its chest, from what Rosiel's blood had stained during the war between Alexiel and Rosiel.

Alexiel, who also fought against heaven, never became a demon. She formed an alliance with the race of Evils - part demons who lived in Jahannam, the top layer of Hell, and had just been attacked by a bunch of angels that almost killed their entire race. Alexiel was caught, judged and branded fallen. The reasons that were behind her rebellion were that: for one thing, she dreamed of creating a better Paradise, one that won't be ruled by God, who didn't allow Angels to love each other in a Sexual way, or have children of their own outside the laboratories where he experiments on creating the perfect creatures. For another, she was jealous that God preferred Rosiel other than her.

As for Alexiel's punishment, Uriel (the angel of death and the Element of Earth) was the judge. Because Alexiel claimed that she only loved god and no one else, Uriel, who was also in love with Alexiel at that time, out of jealousy gave her the greatest punishment of all: having her soul and body separated and the soul being reincarnated into human bodies, each one doomed to die a young, violent death.

And the latter happened.

In the feudal era of Japan, Alexiel was incarnated in the body of a young prostitute who had fallen in love with a samurai. So she decided to run away with him since her keepers would never allow her to marry him. Soon later, her keepers found out and killed the samurai. Nanatusaya's spirit came into the dying body and used that body to grant the last wish the samurai had: which was to kill the prostitute mercifully before her keepers get to her. Before fulfilling the samurai's wish, he made love to the prostitute.

This changed everything. Alexiel's life was to be ended in a violent way- her life was supposed to be intended by the courtesan's keepers. But the guardian angel appointed to her in the beginning of her soul's cycle of reincarnation, making sure that her destiny takes place, was slaughtered. After this, Gabriel, the Element of Water, was immobilized in Heaven by Sevotharte, and her soul incarnated into a completely human soul, Setsuna's sister, Sara.
