A Dark Horse Cometh!

A Dark Horse! There is no betting that a holster from High Noon Holsters.. will be a winner or not. Some just work better for me (and others) as do any gun related products on the market. Sleek and Beautiful! Those are two words that can describe this new holster. Two more: All Business! Truthfully, After my last of a High Noon product: the Second Skin rig. Photobucket I went in search on the High Noon website for a holster that might have wider appeal than the synthetic material Skin Deep snap style holster. Since my color preference for winter carry is black. My choice was the Need For Speed in black horsehide. I'm thrilled with the resulting holster that took less than a week to arrive during the super busy (Christmas Eve) holiday season. Now in 2009. This holster is working out superbly. Unlike some HN horsehide holsters in the past. This one was tight from the word Go. Has loosened up a bit with carry, but still tighter than me equally excellent HN Speedy Spanky paddle holster in natural horsehide. The Need For Speed features a sewn in sight track, using black thread that is evenly stitched and very strong. Rough side out, with the smooth horsehide on the inside. Giving this holster a unique look that I really like! A reinforced mouth/trim of smooth horsehide has the same stitching and keeps the holster open until you replace your RAMI (or other pistol) inside. Tension is adjustable with a screw, but my holster is still to new/tight to worry about it. I had to remove the rubber buffer.. but it will go back on if needed in the future. The cant seems more neutral than a extreme FBI rake, as found on the Skin Deep or other holsters on the market. Meaning that the holster is more vertical to your body. A belt loop in the back and tight belt loop tunnel ensure that the holster rides very close and that in my opinion combined with a perfect rake for me....makes it rides higher than the Skin Deep. This will allow me a holster that is both fast on the draw (after break in) and still secure. Plus, the higher riding holster (for me) will allow me to wear shorter vests when I want. Superbly crafted out of premium horsehide (or leather) with strong stitching and close attention to detail. The Need For Speed might just be your answer for your CCW needs.
