Sup y'all? I have run out of excuses not to review this album. Wait! Why don't I wait for the one year anniversary? ::slaps self:: I really am starting to become a terrible procrastinator...ah well, here's it be:

Pop

Cuz we're just fine doing what we like, can we say the same for you?

Dirty pop! I had very mixed feelings when I first heard this song, but I grew to love it, floor humps and all. It's awesome to hear at a dance or party. It really gets everybody dancing...yes, even the guys and the "punk rock!" people. I'm really liking it, even though considering how it's called "Pop," it doesn't sound very pop-y. My friend always thought they were saying "dare to be pop." Hey, I never said my friends were normal...
Grade:9

Celebrity

See it would be different if you had something, maybe like a J-O-B.

When I first heard this song, it was my absolute favorite. It was just so cool, and that line ^^ was just so funny! Then I discovered that it was Wade, not Lance, doing the chant. WTF? Lance's voice is plenty low to sound scary, and, uh, get this, he's actually in *N Sync... So I turned bitter, and grew annoyed once I realized that I had no clue what "cheese" is. Either it is a)very expensive cheese, b)money, c)photo opportunities (you know, smile and "cheese!" Whatever. Also, does anybody besides me and Dorge think that this chorus sounds a lot like the chorus of Eminem's "Without Me"? If I wasn't a celebrity, this looks like a job for me...Just something to think about...
Grade:8

The Game is Over

Heads I win, tails you lose, cuz you don't have the right to choose.

Oh yeah! *N Sync is pissed off! And I am liking it! According to the sticker, this was supposed to be the 4th single, but since somebody had to go up in space...anywayz, I think the song is awesome. They put in enough of the PacMan noise to sound cool, but not annoying. "It's avideo game, but it's a love story." Very nice. At first JC's screaming, "HOW COULD YOU THINK THAT YOU COULD DO ME LIKE THAT?!?" terrified me. But now it's really growing on me. One of my faves.
Grade:9.5

Girlfriend

Ever since I saw your face, nothing in my life has been the same, walk around just saying your name, without you my world would end

Unlike Dorge, it took me a while to get to like this song. Yeah, it was good. It was just...not *N Sync. I mean, R & B, good. Branching out. But I just didn't care for it. Then the remix came out. And that did me in. I love it now. Whoopie.
Grade:9

The Two of Us

I sent you flowers on a Satuday, inside's a letter with a message and no name

God, I love this song. It's so different, probably the cutest song I've ever heard. It's just so sweet! I like Jayce's little giggle in the beginning. This song always makes me smile. JC said it was a "feel good song," so I guess that explains it. Cute, adorable, sweet, ::opens up thesaurus:: delightful, endearing, charming...I think you get the idea.
Grade:10

Gone

What will I do, if I can't be with you, tell me where I'll turn to, baby who will I be?

God. Justin can sing. And Justin is in pain. Poor boy. Also, the part where it goes "And time is passing so slowly now *ticktickticktick*" is really cool. One of my friends says she can't stand this song. To which I reply, "Girl, where the hell is your heart?" I mean, honestly. You have to admit that Justin did a great job at sounding miserable. And you know the saying "Misery loves company"? So true. Whenever I mad/upset about something, I just put this on repeat for 1/2 hour. Works wonders.
Grade:10

Tell Me, Tell Me...Baby

You're getting under my skin, messing up my mind, never letting me into your life

I really like this song. I like JC's beginning thing. However, I don't think the best way to get a girl to go out with you is to say "F*ck you." And having the girl not seeming to care at all is a pretty big thing to be missing. And I really don't get the dotdotdot thing in the title...But other than that! The song is fine and dandy. Very aggressive, very sexy, very cool.
Grade:9

Up Against the Wall

The freaks sure do come out at night, out at night, night, night...

Yet again, another totally different-sounding song. *N Sync is really branching out! The "Mirror, mirror, on the wall" part sounds like an evil nursery rhyme...I luv it. You can actually hear-get this-all FIVE of the guys. INCLUDING Lance, Joey, and Chris. GASP! What is this world coming to? I remember when Dorge and I heard that this song would be on the CD, she was all, "Oh, I wonder what that's about. And then there was me. "Dorge, stop being a perv. They're prob just in a tough situation that they don't know how to get out of. Duh." For once, Dorge was right. *N Sync...first "riding it," then cybering, now grinding... ::waits for nsync CD with parental warning on it::
Grade:10

See Right Through You

Baby tell me does he do it, do it, like I do. Baby tell me will he love you, love you like I do?

Sexy sex sex. It took me a while to like this song, but now it's one of my faves. *N Sync is pissed off, and I am liking it. They should get into fights with their girlfriends more often...anywayz, the song is just awesome. Look into my EYES. Tell me what you SEE. It sounds so weird, but it works! Jayce's "Does he FREAK you the way that I do?" sounds like it's coming from the bottom of his soul...or somewhere else...
Grade:9.5

Selfish

If love is a crime, then punish me, I would die for you, cuz I don't want to live without you

At present time, this is my favorite "love" ballad on the CD. (It alternates between this and Something Like You. Duh.)It sounds a lot stronger than SLY. It's very sweet and sappy, but in a more...passionate way. But what I don't get is why Jayce used the word "unperfect." I was not aware that was even a word. Would "imperfect" have ruined the flow? Huh? What do you say to that, punk? ::gets hilarious vision of nsync as punks:: HAHAHA!!! ::regains composure:: Good job, JC. You passed the Mar Ballad Test, which is not easy. You have made me proud.
Grade:10

Just Don't Tell Me That

You've got to be seen at every party at the Playboy Mansion

Tell me, tell me baby, just don't tell me that! Ok, now that that's out of the way...I like it. That first line I find to be hilarious...I really like the...actually, I can't really explain it. There are all these long "ohs" in the background. "Just don't ell me that (ohhhhh-oh-ohhhhh...)" Ya know? Didn't think so. But it's cool. I don't like it quite as much as Tell Me, but still. Very nice.
Grade:8.5

Something Like You

Something happens when you look at me I forget to speak. Something happens when you kiss my mouth, my knees get so weak.

YAY JUJU!!! Maybe this song isn't as "passionate" as Selfish, but it's so simple and really, just plain gorgeous. The critics said it was too mushy and disliked the harmonica, but you know my opinion about critics. (If not, here it is: Screw them.) The "Something magical, something spiritual, something stronger than the two of us alone. Something physical, something undeniable. Nothing like anything that I've ever known..." line is stunning. And in the line above ^^ if you try to block out Justin, you can hear Lance. Muy bien.
Grade:9.5

Do Your Thing

The ball is in your court so reach up and touch the sky

This is one of those songs that you either love or hate. For most people at least. But I ain't most people. I like it, but I have to be in the mood for it. The lyrics are great, real inspirational and everything. But I just really don't care for the music...it just doesn't do anything for me. ::shrugs:: Whatever. But the "Gotta hump, gotta pump" line? Classic. Just somebody tell me why that Moss fellow had to do that part? Uh, hello, guys? May I introduce you to this man that's been in the group for several years? His name is Lance, and, get this, he does have a voice. Let him use it, for crying out loud!
Grade:8

Let's see here...Out of a possible 130 points, this CD received...120. Giving them a final score of...92! Whoopie, and praise the *N Sync lord. Good job boys!
