Joshua is a headstrong boy from a very rigid culture. He's allowed almost no contact with the "outside world", but he yearns to see what, exactly, that world holds for him.

Hannah is the fiery girl who has held Joshua's heart since they were children. She can't understand Joshua's sentiments about things outside of the world their parents have created for them, but she tries to be patient.

When they are torn apart by circumstances beyond Hannah's control, she must decide once and for all.

Does she want Joshua's love in an uncertain world and an uncertain future, or will she stay with her family in the safe haven of their community?
