Proverbs 4:23   "Keep your heart with all diligence for out of it spring the issues of life.

When we first heard about the theme for this year, we were confused by what it meant.  It didn't make a lot of sense.  But, after going through this year's program, we think we understand what David meant when he wrote the words,   "Let the words of my mouth and the meditation  of my heart  Be acceptable  in Your  sight ,  O Lord my strength and my  Redeemer."   David didn't always make the right decision but he kept trying.  He understood that what you feel in your heart is how you act in life.  The words that you speak show what's in your heart.  People know if you're a real Christian by the way you speak and act.

Proverbs 4:26  "Ponder the path of your feet, And let all your ways be established.

Proverbs 4:24  Let your eyes look straight ahead, And your eyelids look right before you.

Proverbs 6:16  "These six things the Lord hates, Yes, seven are an abomination to him:  a proud look, a lying tongue, hands that shed innocent blood, A heart that devises wicked plans, Feet that are swift in running to evil, A false witness who speaks lies, and one who sows discord among brethren.

This year, we studied the book of James for our Bible Bowl.  We think its important because we're getting the opportunity to learn more about the Bible and God.  James, is possibly the brother of Jesus.  See page 2 for several questions from the book of James.
