Herbology
Teacher: Professor Grinim Hrooy (Professor Hrooy)
Books Used: One Thousand Magical Herbs and Fungi, Beginners' Book of Plant Care
"Welcome, welcome to Herbology! It is a very interesting subject, yes indeed! We learn about the plants and even how to take care of them. I am Professor Hrooy. You have your Herbology books? I see that everyone is present."
"To start off the Herbology lessons, I want all of you to learn about pots, holes and soils. There are 21 classes of soils and 9 sizes of holes and pots. The correct class and size must always be used when planting anything, or there might even be some danger."
"I want all of you to read about soils, pots and holes in your Plant Care now please."

"Are there any questions?"
"Why are the sizes and classes so important?"
"If the soil is not the right type for the plant, the plant will die. We take the plant or the seed from it's natural habitat and so, we must ensure the plant has the correct soil. If the space is too small or too big, the plant cannot grow well."
"Is that all we are to learn about soils and spaces?"
"No! We will do some practical work as well. We will use Muggle plants to do our 'experimenting'. We will start this next lesson."
"When are our lessons?"
"Every Monday and Friday we meet here in the classroom. We go to the Greenhouses on Wednesday and sometimes on Monday or Friday too. Now, since there are no other questions, I want to give you your homework."
"Take a Muggle plant and state what soil class it can use. Research on the Muggle plant to find out why it needs that class of soil. Class dismissed!"
