February 2000 was one hour less sunny than February 1999. It was the third very sunny February in a row and the fourth milder than average February in a row. You have to go back to 1996 to find a colder than average February and 1993 for a duller than average February. It was however the wettest February recorded since 1997 but nowhere near as wet as that month. The winter of 1999/2000 has been one of the sunniest of the last 100 years.

There were three sunless days all month.

The prevailent wind direction was West and South-West.

Snow fell once during the month. There was also sleet on one day. There were three days with strong winds during the month. The 7th and 8th were particularly stormy.
