The Chicago Outfit is considered to be either the most powerful or the second most powerful LCN Family in the United States (The Genovese Crime Family being the other). The Chicago Outfit survived Prohibition under the leadership of Al Capone, possibly the most notorious gangster in America, waging war with the Irish Mob in Chicago led by Dion O'Banion and George "Bugs" Moran. The Outfit was one of the major players in the development of the Los Angeles Milano Crime Family, and has presently help rebuild the Cleveland Scalise Crime Family from a family with only three made members to a family with around ten made members. The Chicago Outfit was one of the major players behind the Las Vegas skim, and has been able to remain strong even with heavy FBI scrutiny.
