SUSAN GIGLIO GRAMELT 1945 -- 2006


Appomattox, Virginia -- Susan Giglio Gramelt, 61 died Monday, Dec. 18, 2006 in Marietta, Ga.,

Born in Allentonwn, Pa., Oct. 18, 1945, she was the daughter of John S. and Violet Hathaway Giglio of Virgina Beach.

Susan was a teacher at Appomattox Middle School for 17 years.
She was a member of Kingdom Hall, Rustburg.

In addition to her parents she is survived by he son, Christopher Bryan Speight of Appomattox: a daughter, Lauralee D. Sipe and son-in-law, Dwayne Sipe, of Marietta, Ga; and two brothers, Jack Albert Gilglio and Thomas S. Giglio.

A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 23, 2006, in Liberty Cemetery, Appomattox, by Morgan Chewning

The family will receive friends from 12:30 to 1:30 P.m. Saturday at Robinson Funeral Home.

John Giglio 1906 -- 2007



John Giglio passed away in Marietta, Ga., on Aug. 14, 2008, at the age of 101.

John was born in Tampa, Fla., on Nov. 19, 1906. He was the son of the late Mr. Peter Giglio and Mrs. Nancy T. Giglio. His daughter, Susan G. Gramelt of Appomattox, also preceded him in death.

John is survived by his wife of 66 years, Mrs. Violet Giglio. His sons, Jack Giglio of Tampa, Fla., and Thomas Giglio of South Boston, as well as numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren, also survive him. He lived much of his life in Virginia Beach and was recently living in Marietta, Ga., with his granddaughter.

John went to Sweeny Auto and Aviation School in Kansas City and later graduated from Rhodes University in New York City. He lived a long and happy life as a loving and caring husband, father and grandfather.

A family viewing will be held at Mayes Ward-Dobbins Funeral Home in Marietta, Ga., today, Aug. 15, 2008.

Graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, Aug. 18, 2008, at Fort Hill Memorial Park.
