GM's Notes:
It was definitely the first timers who were most impressive in this game, with Scott Duthie and Alan Ridout earning MVPs with impressive debut performances. Both teams were giving it their best shot, but in the end it was the more established Blackburn team that came out on top, with the ever-dependable Kenny Armstrong putting in five of the nine goals for the visitors. Some late unpleasantries aside, this was a cleanly played game, carried out in the spirit in which it was intended.
