Emerald Hill Zone

Emerald Hill Zone is a sea of red and blue
Emerald Hill Zone, or Loopy Hill Zone as it is known in the level select, is ... red. Actually, red and blue. The grass is red and the hill is a dark shade of blue.
Blue coconuts!!!
Even the coconuts that the monkey throws are blue. (Blue coconuts!? What is the world coming to :p?)

Act 1

Act 1 is medium-sized, frustrating in some areas and notoriously buggy.

Invisible wall #1
There's an invisible wall over here. You have to jump to get across. And when you do get across ...
Dead end!
... you find out that it's a dead end.
The collisionless red blob
Upside-down spikes with grass on top is not such a bad idea, but the 'grass' is a collisionless red blob, which means that Sonic stands on the spike, not the grass. And that does not look good.
An annoying part of the level
This is an extremely annoying part of the level because if you miss any of the spikes or the moving platforms, you fall down and have to repeat the whole sequence.
Missing plug
There's supposed to be a plug covering the hole, but it's missing.
Bad collision
The collision is off, so you can go through the wall and fall to your death.
Invisible wall #2
Invisible wall #2 ...
Invisible wall #3
... and #3
The all-important corkscrew
Don't fall from this corkscrew, because if you do ...
Dead Red Hot Sonic!
... you fall and die.
End of Act 1
It's over. Yaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay!!!

Act 2

Act 2 is short. And when I say short, I mean short.

Act 2 is extremely short
So short in fact, that you fall down this pipe, which is situated at the beginning of the act, and face the boss. (Notice the Robotnik monitors in the middle of the wall. What's the point of having them over there?)
It's over in 50 seconds
So short that it's over in 50 seconds.
