Welcome to the Target Market Underground.

Great news! Target Market is alive again -- for now.

Our e-mail bombardment of the Senate has made a huge impact. The Senate has put almost $20 million for youth tobacco prevention into the Senate Budget Proposal. We've come a long way. Three weeks ago we had nothing.

But we still have a long way to go before this is final. In order to keep things moving through the Legislature, WE HAVE TO KEEP THE E-MAILS COMING over the next 3-4 weeks.

Keep up the fight,

Here's the next e-mail message:

SUBJECT:  Thanks for keeping Target Market alive!

MESSAGE:

Dear Senator,

Thanks for all your hard work and dedication to funding effective youth tobacco prevention programs -- BOTH statewide and local.

Most Minnesotans support using a portion of our multi-billion dollar tobacco settlement for youth tobacco prevention. And we are making a huge difference. In just two years, programs like Target Market have reduced teen smoking by 21 percent.

Thanks again for your help,
