In the fall of the year 2001, approximately 500 fresh-faced 7th Graders entered
Roosevelt Middle School in Glendale CA, for the first time. At the time, who would have
ever guessed that, when they graduated, they would have been the first class to
bring the Spelling Bee championchip for the first time in over a decade. Or that
they would also be one of the first classes to participate in a statewide
anti-tobacco grant. No matter where they all end up, the Roosevelt Graduating
Class of the year 2003 will always be united through the time that they spent at
that school.
