Religion

Islam Muslims believe that Islam is the faith of all God’s prophets from Adam and on. So basically it’s the original religion. Islam is an Arabic word that means, “to submit” and a Muslim is the “one who submits”. Islam is the way of life ands not just a religion. Muslims believe that after the prophets like Moses and Jesus, the last of them was one named Muhammad. Muhammad, unlike the other prophets that God sent, his message was written down in the words of the Quran. It was written down as soon as it was revealed. Since Muhammad was the final prophet Muslims follow him because many of the things that were written before in the Hebrew bible were corrupted over the centuries. They read the quran because it was the most recent. Salat is a prayer that is done five times daily. Sawn is the fast that takes place during Ramadan. Zakat is a religious tax used for the poor, the sick and others less privilege in the Islam community. Hajj is the pilgrimage to the holy city of Mecca. One of the basic beliefs are not to worship idols. The holiday of Ramadan is the ninth Muslim month. Ramadan is laid down as a month of fasting. An adult Muslim refrains from eating drinking and smoking and congeal relations from dawn to sunset. After the sunset there’s a feast. On the 27th day of Ramadan fireworks are often lit to celebrate the so-called night of power. That was the day in 610 when Muhammad received revelation of the quran. This holiday is when there is to be a lot of prayer done. Like the other holidays the Muslims recite prayer from the quran. Children under the age of puberty are exempt but may undertake a more limited fast. The early breakfast daylight and the meal after dark takes on a special quality for Muslims during. In religious terms he’s considered a man. He reads a passage frame from the torah in a synagogue service. Death even has it’s own ritual and belief. When a jew dies they are to be buried immediately and wrapped in a white sheet with spices covered over the grouce. For eleven months after the death a prayer has to be said. The Jewish holiday is hannukah. It’s the celebration of when an Israelite known as Judah Macabee defeated the greek tyranny who had forced the jews to abandon their religion. There was only enough oil for the temple lamp for one day. It miraculously lasted for eight days. Therefore in honor of this day, a candle is lit everyday for eight days.00 Christianity Mary and Joseph were the jewish parents of jesus.
