Philly's Sigs by Mail

Welcome to my autograph website. I began this Angelfire site on May 11, 2003 after 25,000 hits with Expage. I closed the site for about a year, then re-opened it on June 18, 2005. The main purpose of this site is to help fellow collectors in the autograph field, particularly in correspondence with current and former athletes through the mail. I update the site everyday with the exception of Sunday. If anyone has any questions, comments, etc. please do not hesitate to contact me at my e-mail address, which can be found at the bottom of this page. All the best---Phil

I'm here. Instead of trying to update the site every day, I'm going to do a end of the week update, conducted no earlier than Saturday and no later than Sunday. These updates will contain all of my successes for the entire week. This way, you don't have to check my site every day only to see that I haven't updated. Peace - Phil

I actually ended up going to the Snappers game today....in the 95 degree heat. I came away with signed cards of Snappers players Alexander Smit, Frank Mata, and Henry Sanchez (last year's 1st round pick) and signed cards of Burlington Bees shortstop Josh Johnson. Also, I netted a pair of signed baseball of Royals top prospect Chris McConnell. I heard rumor of former Twinkies manager Tom Kelly being at the stadium....but I never saw him. It's always nice to hear from fellow autograph collectors telling me that there's a special instructor at the game..last year I had the pleasure of meeting Paul Molitor in an unexpected visit. Anyway, hopefully I'll have at least one success to report tomorrow.

May 26, 2006 Update
Hey boys and girls.....I'm back.....again.....for I think the 4th time. My school year came to an end about two weeks ago and I sent out my first batch of autograph requests about a week ago (my first in about two months). Successes won't probably start showing up until maybe Monday. I'm planning on updating every day until school starts back up in August. When school does resume, I will consider updating on Friday afternoons (as opposed to not at all). I'm going to the Beloit Snappers (Twins affiliate) game tonight against Burlington (KC affiliate), so I'll report tomorrow who I came away with. Thanks for your patience....again. - Phil

April 12, 2006 Update
I'm still here guys and gals.....just have been very busy as of late. I am going to take a temporary leave of absence for awhile. I plan on updating my site once school is over for the year (which for me is mid-May). I am still collecting autographs off and on, but am too busy to concentrate on them like I used to. I know I have a lot of supporters for my site and I thank you for that. It is my hope that you will come back in about a month.....when I'll finally have some free time on my hands. Thanks for everyone's patience - Phil

March 16, 2006 Update
I have not had any successes for awhile now. I haven't had time to send out any requests as of late because of school. I don't plan on shutting the site down and I don't plan on stopping the updates, but they are going to be few and far between. Also, I am going to start sending out more "premium" items, as opposed to baseball cards. For the past eight years, I have been more interested in the quantity of autographs I can get and not the QUALITY. Until at least summer (when I'm done with school for the year), I am going after quality autographs (larger items, more expensive purchases, etc.). Again, I will still update this site, but don't expect my usual 10-15 successes per week. I'm leaning towards 2-3 at best. When summer comes, this will probably change, but I'm not guaranteeing anything. If this is of any inconveniece to you, I apologize. Thanks - Phil

Also, I received an e-mail informing me about a petition to get Buck O'Neil into the Hall of Fame. The Hall is inducting 17 Negro Leaguers, but neglected to put Buck in. Please join me in signing the petition.
