NEOPIAN TIMES- The Neopian Times is out today. There's no articles on petpets this week, but the Neopets Team did have this to say.

"Each week a species of Petpet is selected, and the PPL doles out prizes and trophies to the owners whose pets have Petpets of that particular kind (for the first week, the species selected was the Ghostkerchief). If an owner has more than one of a particular species, then they'll be able to rack up bonus rewards for each additional Petpet. Excellent!
"However, it looks as though not everybody can successfully protect their Petpet. On Thursday, there were a number of reports beginning to surface, which claimed that the precious Petpets of countless Neopians had suddenly come up missing (including my own pet's beloved Meep-it, Faust IV... we miss you Faustie; if you see this, please come home! *sniff*).
"In other Petpet news, it was disclosed Wednesday that a few Petpets had been spotted playing with a peculiar variety of miniscule creatures. Many now speculate that these tiny critters could be flea-infested (and quite unsanitary), so if your Petpet is among the lucky ones that haven't turned up missing, it might be wise to keep them from associating with such dodgy vermin."

Note that whatever Neopets decides to bring up, it's likely to have something to do with the plot. Also note that there is no word of the fake accounts. (Which means they are fake!)They also issued this statement.

"Missing petpets? Nah.. you are making things up now... Petpets don't go missing!"

WARNING- Mootix is just a normal person, like you or me. He hasn't got anything to do with the petpets. And neither has MrTower348, CelticFlash, or any other affiliated usernames. It's all just one big scam. So who have really got our pets? My money's still riding on the jelly chia, but try not to remember I said that...

Other things of interest-

Look up the pet 'isharei' to get this. Isharei is missing! :) This pet has stolen many petpets and pets and infected them with mind controlling mootixs in her attempt to destroy Neopia and is now forcing them to make jelly in her secret hideout! HELP! Then look up the user 'isharei' and you'll get Isharei Thade, who says she's a Neopets Monitor. It's fake though... the Neopets Monitor message should be at bottom, here it's at the top.
First Amanmet's page said, "Amanmet doesn’t have your petpets and he is certainly not making a massive army out of them to conquer Neopia." Then it was changed to "Boss? I know no boss! I am just a regular koi! I'LL GET YOU DARKSAMURIA YOU CANNOT ESCAPE THE WRATH OF MY J3LLY ARMY!!! (did I just say that outload?). Notice the poor spelling at the end.... hmmm.....
MrTower348 has given us a date to look forward to! No, it's not his birthday. In his first trade, he rather stupidly wrote '6/20/03 ... amanmet arrives ', thereby giving away any sense of mystery whatsoever. Oh well.
In MrTower's shop he asks us to visit Bobby's, which is a link to CelticFlash's shop.
Amanmet's mutant jelly army is now 54% completed. Uh oh...
Also, has anyone else tried to visit amanmet's lookup (the user, not the pet) only to find it's completely blank?. Fear no more, click here to find out what it says. Nothing much really, but notice how he started playing only a few days ago. Whichever fool's behind all this malarkey is a real foolish fool... (i.e. MrTower348)

Okay, I have no idea whether Mootix's, DarkSamuria's, or any other associated accounts are completly fake or not. There's no sure way of knowing. According to the 'experts' from other message boards, the accounts weren't designed by the Neopets team at all. They are all an elaborate hoax designed to fool thousands of Neopians like us. Still, I'm not certain... so below is a compiled list of all the names you might want to do a search on. Good luck...

Mootix the Mutant Grundo

'Mootix' is also the name of the new petpetpet, and he makes this fact perfectly clear to us in his petpage. He links us to Farrell, LilFebbi, and MrTower348. Apparently MrTower348 has something to do with this? I'm not too sure Neopets has written this however, read the last paragraph about 'terrorism'. Neopets always tells us to steer clear of topics like this. By the way, his owner is pallieall, so let's click there.

pallieall (owner of Mootix) Pallieall is the owner of Mootix, and has nothing to do with disappearance of your petpets. He says his main account is 'Holycoconut'. Also he wants to thank Tony & Nikki..? Sounds a bit too 'real-life' to me... still, let's press on.

holycoconut (owner of farren, sizzler) All this account searching gets pretty tedious after a while, especially after holycoconut links to ebilwuzzle. You can search this account by yourself, but frankly I feel we're on the wrong track here. Let's try MrTower348, at least he seemed promising...

MrTower348(owner of DarkSamuria, mrtower348, mrtower834, snowycove) Muhahahaha Amanmet will force your pets to make jelly FOREVER! (If you really want your pets back maybe you should SEARCH for him. (Unfortunatly, this account is also 0.34% likely to be a real part of the mystery. If this guy tries to converse with you in any way, proptly ignore him. :D)

DarkSamuria the Green Wocky

The petpage isn't up to much, in fact it's the same default style the Neopets Team created for Wockys. However DarkSamuria does have something interesting to say- "Phew I am back from the mines in J3lly W0rld and it is a terrible place! Petpets are forced to haul jelly to create a jelly army! I only escaped because amanmet turned back into a koi from the hideous monster he once was! I suspect this is only a disguise..."All this talk of jelly world is intriguing... (by the way, anyone who hasn't witnessed this so called 'imaginary place' can click here and have new beliefs installed into them), but I'm still certain all this is a fake. Oh well, let's head off to amanmet's page and see what we find there.

Amanmet the Green Koi

So, this is the Koi who we're all supposed to be afraid of. This has just got too far out of hand; it's obvious all this is a fake. Look at the petpage for example, this guy has nicked it straight from Maraqua. Fooool.

This page contains certain html preventing anyone from viewing the page, however remove it and this is the end result. Looks like the guy doing this has something else planned? (Namely in the form of 'big boss', sounds pretty, uh, lame).

Notice this week's catchphrase, 'Amanmet's mutant jelly army is 49% completed', is also on the infamous mrtower348's user lookup. There, though, the army is 34% completed. Hmmm... So what's going to happen at the dreaded 100%? My prediction- a large, fat bloke behind all this will jump out and scream, "Surprise! Heh... fooled you all." Well, like most things in life, I guess we'll have to wait and see.

ARE THESE PAGES FAKE? Well, many Neopians think so. But how can we be completly sure that this is just a confusing hoax? Let's look at the evidence...

All accounts have posted to the message boards at some time over the past few days. For example...

celticflash- well thats because he is not allowed to answer or Amanmet will slay him ... Muhahahahahaha!
I get the feeling that these two supposedly 'different' people are actually the same guy... or is that me being paranoid again? Oh well. Also, has anyone else noticed that mrtower348'a siggie changes everytime he posts? So far I've got 'sorry but no', 'just a few tidbits' and 'me stealin all ur petpets? nah ;).' Very strange....
They've all won trophys, proving that the owners of these accounts play Neopets. Also, they're all members of respectable guilds. If I was Donna then I wouldn't stop to collect dozens of trophys before I released a new mystery...
Of course then we've got this 'Amanmet's mutant jelly army is 49% completed' thing. Celticflash says it's 49, mrtower348 disagreed and called it 34... He's updated it now though. Also, has any seen it actually go up? Or is it stuck just before the half-way point? Do we have to wait for this guy to update it...?
A quote from mrtower348 shows he's a little bit fame-hungry.... "If Someone write a neopian Times article about me and if is accepted I will tell them what they want to know." You heard him everyone. We need to write articles about him! To think of a name.... uh, 'World's Stupidest Neopian' perhaps?
Mootix talks about terroists near the end of his petpage. Granted, it's not particularly bad, but I would of thought Neopets didn't want this sort of thing.

Evidence for them :(-

Petpets started vanishing two days ago. Which makes me wonder, how did these guys make their pages so fast? Are they hackers or something? Or can they type 120wpm? Did they know what Neopets had planned?
Also, the style of writing in earlier accounts is very Neopet Team-esque. Look up holycoconut for example, any English examiner could award at least an A. The homepages, too, remind me of the previous mysteries far too much for my liking...
Why haven't Neopets frozen these accounts yet? If it isn't part of the plot, then shouldn't they take action to remove these pages?

'CLUES' UPDATE- Head towards DarkSamuria's homepage, and you'll be greeted by this message- "AHHH! u made it another clue is to .....go to into the future to the date 8/8/01 let me spell this out a little clearer go into the future means look at the past compare to the future". If we were to ignore the poor grammar and spelling, a date emerges - the 8th of August, 2001. 'Look at the past'... in other words, the old news page. So we look up the date, revel in a little nostalgia, and what's this? "The newest entry to the Gallery of Evil is the Jelly Chia." Jelly Chia, huh? So he has our petpets? If you like you should read the gallery of evil article on him, it might have something to do with the new plot (i.e. jelly world).

Your petpets are with the Jelly Chia now. They don't like Darigan anymore.

Do a search for 'Mootix'. Is it a fake? I suppose that's for you to decide. Try DarkSamuria too, although this one is very likely to be a joke.
If you're interested, do a search on Farren to view a missing petpet. Okay, y'know what, I'm becoming very sceptical over whether these pages are just fakes. Look at Farren's webpage. Doesn't it remind you of the Neopets v2 mystery? Or am I just being paranoid again?
Here's more, lookup sabin_claw too. This can't be a co-incidence, surely??

Yup, there it is, 'mini-worlds'. Strange that, it's only been on the 'coming soon' list since yesterday...
WHO ARE THESE PETPETPETS?- According to Mootix's webpage, the culprits of this crime are strange, bug-like creatures of the same name.

Here's a few of the little critters.
If we view this week's latest Lenny Conundrum, what is the puzzle about? Mootix! Now right click on a picture of the little fella, and you'll get the url to it- "http://images.neopets.com/items/petpetpet_1.gif" Yep, that's right kids. This is completly 100% offical evidence that petpetpets do exist. Now, the next logical step would be to get the url and swap the '1' with a '2'. And what do we get?

Yeah! It's another petpetpet!
It slightly resembles a really small baby Acara. If we change the '2' to a '3' however, we get nothing. Hmm, interesting... Also take a gander at the news for '11th June'. Looks like these petpetpets might have something to do with this after all then...
(By the way, has anyone noticed the prize for this week's lenny's conundrum? Yup, it's a Mootix. Makes you wonder what the description will be... or whether you can equip them to petpets. Guess we'll find out when the prizes come out.).
DARIGAN'S CITADEL- If anyone out there is feeling a bit lonesome for their petpet, then you can go visit them at Darigan's Citadel. So now we know where they've all gone to! They're all at, uh, Darigan Citadel, having a holiday! Or y'know, it could just be a bug. (A bug as in a Mootix, perhaps???)
