NHS Food Drive - Mutabeen

One of the villages visited was Mutabeen, located in Dar’aa in the South of Syria. We were taken to this village by a local nun, Sister Bridget, who was able to help distribute the food among the many poor families. We bought ten food packets and were able to divide this among fifteen families. Pictures were taken to show the community the work we were doing. These pictures were displayed in order to motivate people to donate to our Food Drive. This was quite successful, since we could now visualize the hardship faced by many. The people were also very poorly dressed, and we decided to collect clothes after the food drive so we could help these people. We collected shoes that were recently brought to the village by Sr. Bridget.

Return to Mutabeen

After visiting Mutabeen we started collecting clothes and shoes to give to needy people in the village. After we had collected a significant amount we gave these to Sr. Bridget who then brought it to the village. We are still collecting clothes to support this village and others.
