Food Drive - Jdeidah

We also went to a village Jdeidah, located in the countryside of Damascus. Packets of food were distributed to three large families living in small houses under bad conditions. One of these families had no income due to unemployment, and these packets provided much relief. Another family whom we helped was experiencing great trouble, as one of their members was handicapped and constantly needed taking care of. Two other packets were given to women living in unfavourable conditions. For example, one woman lived under a staircase and also supported the rest of her family. Another woman who was living alone in the attic of a building was given a packet, which helped ease some of her needs. |
