As a follow up to last year's very succesful drive to help Palestinian children with food and medicine the NHS & HSSC decided to respond to the desire with in the DCS student body and to launch this final fundraiser of 2003. We will again send money through UNRWA and samilar bodies to groups working with children.
We chose to organise a collection for the children of Palestine and Iraq because these children are currently living under very difficult circumstances and we wish to help them. The money collected will again be used to buy food and medicine.
We hope that this drive will be very succesful and the only way we can accomplish this is with your help. We already have received a large amount of donations bringing us to a total of approximately 80,000 SP. (13 May 2003) We are visiting all classes every Monday and Sunday, in addition to this donations can also be brought to Mr. Scullion's room where one of the orange collection boxes is located. We would also like to remind everyone that every little bit makes a difference.
This drive will continue until the 22nd of May, 2003.
