Sister Bridget

Who is she?

Sister Bridget is an Irish nun at the Italian hospital. She has been in Syria for the past 20 years. She has become very involved with the poor in Syria and spends a great deal of her time aiding them. Sr. Bridget is supporting approximately 80 very poor families; she is also involved with a Leper village just outside Damascus. She is aiding these families by giving them clothes and food and also more permanent help such as re-building parts of houses, donating chickens, olive trees etc. She aids both poor Christian and Muslim families.

What can you do?

If you have any old clothes or shoes, as well as bulk amounts of food she would be happy to take them. Also if you would like to put a car at her disposal for a day, she can visit villages easier, you could even go with her and help her. If you want to bring old clothes please bring them clean and possibly ironed.

Who can you give this to?

If you have any donations please put them in the charity box in Mr. Scullion’s room. If there is anything else that you might find appropriate to donate please tell an NHS member, Mr. Scullion, or Mrs. Mesmar and we will check with Sr. Bridget if she would be able to use it.
