I purchased this domain as I believed wholeheartedly in furthering the gospel of Christ and sharing the good news with everyone, including the transgendered (Calise claims to struggle with Gender Dysphoria, and while he has no personal answers for his own struggles he is somehow qualified by supernatural enlightenment to tell you and I how to live a victorious life). This seemed to be the forthright intention of the good minister as well. There have been several who, through this website, have expressed that they have come to genuine faith in Christ and for that I am thankful.
Unfortunately I learned a very tough life lesson in that Angelo Calise is not at all what he professes to be. I would therefore be a horrible person if I continued to allow others to be steered towards his "ministry" without sending them a warning.
One would expect a "spokesman" for Jesus to live a life consistent with Biblical teaching, to be upright and honest, and to be raising the dead and healing the sick. "Spokesman For Jesus" is, afterall, one heck of a title to have preceeding ones name, is it not?
My experience in 8+ years with this fraud was that I heard a lot of supernatural and highly enlightened spiritual conversation, yet saw very few get genuinely helped. The ministry never grew and there always seemed to be a "miracle" just on the horizon so we should have faith and keep on keeping on. When people would see thru this fake and leave, he always gave the devil credit (this mighty man of God couldn't seem to get the victory over Satan... but could tell you and I how to?).
But you see, a good con knows what weaknesses to exploit and how to gain a victim's trust. True love is just about blind so a person can look beyond many faults and rationalize them away... or even justify them. A good con even knows when to give you something or do something nice for you (so as to set the hook so to speak).
John Calise falsely prophesied over my wife being pregnant at least 3 times, and over me several times as well on very deep personal matters. When my wife had a miscarriage calise quoted Malachi where it talks about the vine casting its fruit before its time... meaning that our baby fell under Satan's authority because we weren't tithing faithfully. Yet he would say we are under grace, not the law... and free thru Christ from sickness, poverty, and death. When it suited him we were under the law, when he needed good material for the pulpit, we weren't.
There were several things I was seeking from God but I just kept hearing that I didn't know how to receive them (i.e. I wouldn't 'fall' over when his holiness placed his blessed hands on me...... so as to be slain in the spirit). This faith healier, when confronted with severe blockages in the arteries of his heart, chose to stand on God's Word and go have a quadruple bypass. From the pulpit he quoted John G Lake as saying "If the doctor says your going to die, die...." as a statement of faith in God. When his "finances" got 'tight' did he "stand on the word and "tell no man" as his sermon states? Nope, he put the bite on his flock through his well timed private conversations where he would 'confide' in us.
Calise is prone to having fits of anger and infintile temper tantrums when something doesn't go well. Not exactly something I would expect to see in a "Spokesman" for Jesus. I've heard him use many a four letter word, and say things like "I could give you shit to eat, and you'd thank me for it". This great pillar of faith sits home most days on his rear end and expects men to "give" into his bossom.... fleecing his few remaining church members to supplement his income.
Calise claims that God told him not to work. Yet he has tried to go into several businesses since God gave him this edict. My wife and I put forth much time and finances to helping him go into business which was ok with him, but he wouldn't condecend to pumping gas to pay his bills. He simply knows how to put the bite on people at the right time. We were dumb and genuinely loved him and his wife. The problem? The people we love never existed.... only cons. When the jig was up and I saw him for what he is, I walked out of his home and have not spoken to him since. This man who loves us so very much.... this woman who claims to have loved me like a son... never left the 99 for the one or even called us to bother trying to work things out. He knew he was found out. He knew he was exposed and that we finally saw thru him... the well had finally run dry. So it was time to move on to the next set of victims.
Like a good con, he's got quite a line of crap behind him and can twist God's word (or anyone else's) very very well. He's had the great and powerful "annointing" in his life and has been ministering for 15 years, yet God hasn't enlarged his ministry yet (though God allegedly told Calise that he is going to be a millionaire someday and will have a huge tent revival ministry). He has NO ethics whatsoever. When a copier company wanted their equipment back (because payment wasn't made.... big shock) Calise wanted to hide the machine in his garage. When Calise was going for his VA mortgage he had his administrator sign a letter that Calise received a salary of $80,000 annually from the church. This was a total lie. Calise equates such things as being wise in the way of the world and in business. They aren't lies (after all Jacob was a con... and God loved him)
Though my wife and I were hurt very deeply I shall leave it at this... steer clear of this fake and his bogus ministry. Jesus is not lifted up in truth and love, this phony wants himself to be lifted up. He has a nice singing voice and lots of charisma.... and he milks both for everything he can. He has a knack for justifying anything he says or does by the grace and love of Christ. Sadly it took 8 1/2 years (and many thousands of dollars) for my wife and I to learn that we were being taken for fools by a very good con and his wife. God has blessed us even in our stupidity, because he knew our hearts were to try and serve him as best we could. But "Johnny Cal" will always find a way to take credit for it at some level.
For those of you seeking the truth, for those of you who really want to know Christ and are struggling with personal issues, there are many resources available to you, including family.org. It starts with asking Christ into your heart and letting him guide you to where he wants you to go. Be genuine, be sincere, and remember... the greatest commandment is Love God with all your heart soul and mind and love your neighbor as yourself.
This warning is to save you much heartache and loss.
Don't fall for this smooth talking con or his lying wife's fake love. Don't fall for anyone who won't submit themselves to a board of elders on the grounds that they believe they hear God speak and they have "the annointing"
Don't be stupid like I was. You will be taken for everything you are willing to give, and more. I have a $20,000 debt incurred at Calise's advice.... a portion of the funds went to his fake teeth and paying "tithes" on money that wasn't even given to me. But I can't blame Calise, I ultimately am responsible for me.
Please, always remember that God's goodness is unchanging, and his love eternal. Though his servants, or those who professs to be his servants, may be nothing like the Christ you hear preached, Christ is wonderful. It is only through a personal relationship with him that we can ever know or receive God's love and forgiveness so I urge you to seek him with all of your heart (and He promises that when you do, you'll find Him!).
There are good people out there, good churches, and kind caring people who aren't ultimately looking for their own gain. I suggest that you pray God to protect you and lead you in your search. Never let down your guard, trust completely in NO man. The irony here is that Calise gave us that warning... and it was the one thing he said that we SHOULD have listened to and didn't.
That's about all I can say at this point. Please be very very careful when dealing with this man.
