About the Artist

Earthly Treasures is a jewelry company founded in 1999 by Sandy Meyer.   I chose to specialize in genuine gemstone beaded and faceted gemstone jewelry using exclusively sterling silver and 14 karat gold designs.   Each piece is handcrafted and stones are handset by me.   I generally prefer to create designs that are multipurpose and can be worn with several different colors for those jewelry lovers who are trying to maintain a budget but want quality made pieces. 

I came to Tallahassee, Florida from Madison, Wisconsin where I was working as a paralegal for a consumer protection agency that prosecuted businesses for misrepresentation of products and/or services.   In my free time, I was creating jewelry designs for family and friends, as well as raising two girls.  After moving to Florida, I made the decision to postpone my paralegal career to pursue a business in jewelry creating and have been busy ever since.   In addition to selling from my home business,  you can generally find me at arts and craft shows in the middle to upper Florida area as well as in southern Georgia.   In fact, you can click on Show Schedule to find out where I will be over the next few months.  

I enjoy designing custom creations to suit your style as well as re-stringing broken bead strands or creating matching pieces to accompany what you may already have.   I travel to various gem shows throughout the country to hand-select all my gemstone beads and sterling silver components.   I truly love my work and making my customers happy.
