she is going to a rave next weekend, and she really wants to try ecstasy.

i love her more than any of you can understand. there's nothing else I want more, than her to just not try it.

but, there's nothing i can say to her, to make her not.


if she's going to do it...i want to make sure she won't overdose.

how much should she take. i don't even know what it comes in...isn't it pills?

i don't want her to sleep with someone else just because she's fucking horny...

List the reasons why you don't want her to do it. Chances are you are worried that she'll OD from it or get holes in her brain and die. If she takes one or two, no chance of overdose, and from what I understand, the study linking MDMA to brain holes was recently debunked.

Unless she has some horrible allergic reaction to MDMA she is going to be fine. I know people that take 3 pills at a time when they go to raves. Tell her to just take one pill, that should be more than enough for the first time. Like someone above me said, this is not so much about the ecstacy as the very apparent fact that you do not trust this girl given the circumstances. She's going to the rave with 3 other guys, one of whom she is apparently getting advice from (which makes you suspicious of him). She's also going to a rave with these guys even though she has never done drugs. Has she ever raved before, or is this her first time? Why does she want to go off with 3 guys and party? Why not go with her and see what the scene's all about? You don't have to be on drugs to enjoy a rave. You need to try to view this from her point of view. Figure out why she wants to do this. Like others have said, if she rolls one pill or two she'd be perfectly fine, although a little under the weather the next day.

That's a link to erowid's vault on MDMA, which is the primary active chemical in ecstacy. Atleast, it's supposed to be the primary active chemical, but ecstacy is typically cut with a number of various different drugs (not coke or heroin, things like DXM, caffine, ephedra, amphetamines etc.) She shouldn't be at too much of a risk if she just takes one pill, and it'd probably be good advice for her to take half the pill at first, and the other half later.

Since this is her first drug, you're gonna just have to trust her and hope nothing goes wrong on the whole "being totally fucked up at a rave with 3 random highschool dudes" thing.

Ecstasy is SUPPOSED to be MDMA, which in and of itself is not probably going to hurt your girlfriend. If your girlfriend takes only MDMA, there's not much to worry about.

It is entirely possible and likely that a pill of ecstasy can contain other drugs. Most things they cut ecstasy with aren't particularly harmful, but there are some. Some likely possibilities include:

MDA
DXM
Methamphetamine
Ephedrine/pseudoephedrine
Caffeine

MDA is a hallucinogen related to MDMA. It is stronger than MDMA but one use will not cause harm. DXM is a dissociative which you can take in small doses to relieve coughs, or in large doses to have a hallucinatory trip. It's not very harmful, especially for one-time use. Methamphetamine is a stimulant that is highly addictive and not good for you. One pill of meth, however, won't get you "hooked" or fuck your brain up. Ephedrine and pseudoephedrine are stimulants used in weight loss as well as relieving sinus congestion. Not great to abuse, but nothing to worry about for one time.


Basically, she'll probably be okay. Hopefully she'll be able to get some MDMA-only ecstasy.

Also, you sound a lot like you need to chill out, I would recommend you try smoking weed.
