It's just not possible - at least in my opinion - to have a better surf related weekend than this last one, even if I seem to have misplaced a few things.

This is as good as it gets - at least for me:

Saturday - surfed Wind**Sea on my homemade 5' 4", thirty year old fish, then I came back and surfed The Shores -
Sunday - The Shores was schmokin' got plenty of waves, and I only chased 3 "big heads" out of the water - Just Kidding -
Then, I took my mom, Mrs. Pink, and her husband - Cal - out to Fort Rosecrans, the military cemetery at the end of Point Loma - we gave thanks to those that are buried there.
Of course the OB gang and the New B***k mashers don't allow me to go more south than the San Diego River - north side - but usually on the Memorial Day weekend they let me pass - this weekend was no different - Whew, thanks guys!
Monday - the day of the "Friends of Wind**Sea's" party to christen the recently re-built, and re-palmed shack.
Great time - the surf was good and the attendees were even better -
AND -
I don't think that I have ever been more macho looking than I was yesterday - sporting my new sleeveless, San Diego Surf Ladies t-shirt - naturally, I had to bare my massive guns for all to see -
UNTIL -
I got so stinking sun burned that I had to put on my new trench coat - Just Kidding!
I've been going to Wind**Sea for almost 50 years, and I'm lookin' forward to 50, well, at least 5 more!
R**in lectured me about making sweeping generalizations regarding surf history - I apologized profusely, and tried to turn it around on her - no way. I'm not capable of making a coherent argument against a hot - and very smart - surf babe.
I took more than 200 photos - obviously there ain't any here - I think I know where the cameras are - I hope -
But -
The Brazilians were pretty pissed-off that I was snapping photos of the Girls from Rio - and they [The Brazilians] chased me off the beach - just kidding!
But -
In my haste to escape from Fun City and Beach Babes, I left my "Sea Brothers" 6' fish, and my cool little rubber hat by the shack - serious reward money offered -
