United Methodist Women
The purpose of United Methodist Women is to be a community of women
who know God and experience freedom as whole persons through Jesus
Christ; who develop a creative, supportive fellowship, and who expand
concepts of mission through participation in the global ministries of
the church.
United Methodist Women is comprised of a General Unit made up of six
different circles. The unit meeting is held the first Monday of each
month at 7:30 p.m in the Chapel. Each of the six circles meets
separately during the month. Below is a brief description of each circle:
 | Aldersgate Circle meets the second Monday of each month
at 7:30 p.m. in member's homes. Aldersgate is a group of active,
prayerful, professional women who find time for community services,
lively discussions, crafts, and especially for each other. |
 | Clifton Circle meets the second Wednesday of each month
at 7:30 p.m. in member's homes. Clifton is a group of professional and
retired women who focus on Bible study, service projects, and crafts. |
 | Daughters of Ruth meets the third Monday of each month
at 7:00 p.m. in member's homes. This group is a wonderful blend of
Christian women in many diverse stages of life striving to enrich
spirituality by learning and serving in a supportive environment. |
 | Loyalty Circle meets the second Thursday of each month
at 10:00 a.m. in the Church Parlor for refreshments, devotions and great
fellowship. Normandy Village United Methodist Daycare Center is the
current service project. |
 | Service Action Circle meets the third Monday of each
month at 10:00 a.m. in member's homes. Service Action is a group of
mature active women who are working together to give "Action"
to their "Service" for their Lord, their church and community. |
 | Sunshine Circle meets the second Monday of each month
at 7:30 p.m. in member's homes. Sunshine is a group of women who are
ready and eager to answer the call when needed in the church and the
community. They support the Arlington Community Center, Action
Ministries Plus, and Normandy Village United Methodist Daycare Center. |
