ARMAX'S SPYDER PAGE (Under Construction)

Team: The Regulators

Position: Front/mid (or for the most part Deadbox)

Strengths: The ability to locate a paintball with my mask, behind the deepest cover.

Weaknesses: Preoccupied with finding a way to smoke while playing paintball.

Quote of the Week: "The reasonable man adapts himself to the world: the unreasonable one persists in trying to adapt the world to himself. Therefore all progress depends on the unreasonable man... George Benard Shaw"

Why Spyder?: It's a low cost base marker that has the customizing options suitable for all types of players. It's simplicity and cost does not sacrifice performance. IMHO, it lies between the simplicity of an automag and the customization of the autococker. I enjoy building spyder clones almost as much as playing. It doesn't take an airsmith to work on one and your imagination is the only limit(well except for money) to what you can do to make your spyder unique and perform with the best markers out there. Bad Company(kingman sponsored team) placed 4th in the 2002 world cup with modified spyders. It can be done...we have the technology...we can make it stronger...faster...*6 million dollar man theme playing in background*

Equipment (sorry for the old and crappy pics, will have updated ones soon):

My Reservoir Dogs

1. Custom Bob Long Millenium Full Bodied Spyder(AKA... Mr.White...Frankenspyder) Specs: Black and Blue Splashed Full Body, Mako 4.0 Trigger Frame, Shocktech LPC, AKA Tornado Valve, AKA lightning bolt, AKA cocking assembly, AKA slot cover, Dark Horizon's modified titanium hammer, Pro series velocity adjuster, 32* spring kit, Mac Dev sonic ball detent, Demonic Strangler feed neck, NWpaintball quick disconnect air system, Kingman bottomline regulator, NWpaintball 15* ASA, Palmer male stabilizer, Aradus pro-tip barrel, 12volt revy w/x-board and 16oz CO2 anti-siphon tank with on/off valve. The goal I had in mind while building this was to create a high performing, reliable marker. The full body and AKA parts were chosen to promote high flow and efficiency. I wanted flexibility in configuration and consistency with a dual regulated setup. The palmer was used in this case to work well with co2 as was the anti-siphon tank. The brass eagle sight is there so I have an excuse to tell tall tales to newbies about my 1000 yard elimination shots.

2. Custom Bob Long Millenium Compact bodied Spyder(AKA... Mr.Pink) Specs: Black compact millenium body, Bob Long Millenium double trigger frame, 32* turbo valve and pin, black magic cup seal, PMI ram air LPC, Checkit 15* asa, PMI inline regulator, Bob Long top cocking bolt (modded), 32* turbo valve, Pro series velocity adjuster, Polished internals, 32* spring kit, angel clamp feed neck, NWpaintball quick disconnect air system, Kingman bottomline regulator, NWpaintball slot cover, 32* guage, Lapco autospirit barrel, 12volt revy w/x-board and 16oz CO2 anti-siphon tank with on/off valve. My goal with this marker was to have a reliable backup to my #1 above. I felt I didn't need the top of the line parts because it's only use is reliability until I get my main marker up and running. The nice thing about the quick disconnect is that it allows the use of at least one regulator on any setup I switch the airsystem to. I did try to promote high flow/efficiency while maintaining a budget.

3. Custom AKALMP VLM Spyder(AKA...Mr.Brown) Specs: AKALMP VLM dark blue body, AKA Tornado Valve, AKA lightning bolt, AKA cocking assembly, Pro series velocity adjuster, 32* spring kit, Demonic Strangler feed neck, NWpaintball quick disconnect air system, Kingman bottomline regulator, WGP inline regulator, AKA external adjuster cap, polished internals, AKA mitey max LPC, Dye double trigger frame w/dye stickies, Fireballmountain 15* cocker asa, AKA 14" Javelin barrel, 12volt revy w/x-board and 16oz CO2 anti-siphon tank with on/off valve. Not much here. Used high performance AKA parts more to restore it to original specs as it came out the factory. More nostolgia than all-out performance with this setup.

4. Team-sponsored AKALMP VLM Spyder(AKA... Mr.Blonde) Specs: AKALMP VLM Teal body, AKA Tornado Valve, AKA lightning bolt, chrome AKA cocking assembly, Pro series velocity adjuster, 32* spring kit, Demonic Strangler feed neck, NWpaintball quick disconnect air system, Kingman bottomline regulator, AKA sidewinder regulator, polished internals, AKA mitey max LPC, Centerflag hyperframe, Fireballmountain 15* cocker asa, AKA 12" Javelin barrel, J&J 14" ceramic barrel, 12volt revy w/x-board and 16oz CO2 anti-siphon tank with on/off valve. This marker was one of the 10 VLM markers issued to the AKA team. I kept it's original configuration that was issued to the team but changed the parts that weren't AKA. The replacement parts were chosen by parts that I use on a regular basis. I should definitely use this with a nitro setup.

Apparel: Custom Jersey furnished by Pierce Plumbing and V-force Shield mask.

Remember: when you care enough to send the very best...Spyder. And if you don't....*SPLAT*..."OUT!"

Why Spyders can hold their own against high-end markers...
