About Apothe-Care

Apothe-Care, Inc. was established exclusively for charitable purposes, including the making of distributions for organizations that qualify as exempt organizations under section 501C. Our pilot program began in March 2003 at Hill’s Family Drug Stores. We collected, cataloged and boxed all vitamins and herbals that were no longer in demand and discontinued vitamin lines. We also included dozens of pairs of quality diabetic socks, ace bandages and other first aid supplies that Hills no longer wanted to carry (these items had already been replaced with different brands). On Friday, April 18, 2003, we delivered our first shipment to the National Headquarters of ADRA International; twenty-seven cases of much-needed vitamins and herbals, diabetic socks, ace bandages and first aid supplies worth $24,700.

This program did not only benefit the underprivileged- it helped to lift a heavy burden off the shoulders of Hills Pharmacy. We documented and removed all of the merchandise that they no longer wished to stock. As a non-profit company, we were able to give the pharmacy and official receipt for their goods to deduct as a charitable gift. We then were able to “place” the merchandise in the main warehouse of ADRA International, and it was sent to North Korea.
