Bottstein
From 11-th till the 13-th century the nobility gender of the barons of Böttstein inhabited the castle. On the 5th June 1606 bought brothers Johann Peter von Roll, knight, Hans Walther von Roll, knights of the Saint Stephans Order, and young nobleman Karl Emmanuel von Roll for 1,800 guilders the municipal area from Böttstein. They had inherited from her father 574,000 guilders. 1615 to 1617 built them instead of the castle the castle arrangement with mansion and chapel. By the construction and the also luxurious life style for the rest the inherited property to 1674 on 35,000 guilders decreased. Then the castle and the Ländereien came by marriage to the possession of the family Schmid from Uri.
