The key element in the birth of the Original Leather Lasso was Dianne Keaton in the movie, "Something's Gotta Give". In that movie, she briefly wore a unique necklace - a lasso. It looked great on her.
I love good design - anything - homes, landscaping, cars, scuplture, etc. After seeing the movie, I began sketching a lasso necklace design with a southwest casual flare - but still possessing a degree of sophistication. It had to be fun to wear and reasonably priced.
Rejecting several ideas, I felt that a leather/silver look in a lasso style was best. A quick trip to a local craft shop provided the raw material and necessary tools. The necklace pictured on our home page was then created. I was overwhelmed by the intitial response and immediately recruited a few of my friends to assist with necklace production, creation of our webpage, E-bay listing site, general marketing and new design ideas. Our new company, A. St John, LLC is my wife Ann's maiden name. We are very proud of our entire design line and hope you enjoy wearing them. Your satisfaction is guaranteed.
