The Big News: There wasn't really any big news coming out of the show, but they did set up a match for next week Cecil Plezing vs. Big Bull Horton.
Best Match: Plezing Brothers vs. Players Club.
Worst Match: None.
MVP: Cecil Plezing
The show starts off with Wildthing Will Owens coming out to cut a promo. Owens states that there will be no Pork chops, Rosie's Boy or Crybaby chants allowed. Then talks about Cecil trying to get a strike going. Cecil Plezing then comes out and says in a few weeks the fans will be voting on a new match maker. Then made a match for Owens, Owens says he wasn't dress to wrestle, Plezing then said neither was half of the roster. Ok he didn't really say that, but I thought it would be cool if he did.
1.Wildthing Will Owens defeated Smoke Dog
Owens picks up the win with a diamond cutter. During the match Owens caught Dog with a good sidewalk slam. Owens tried to pin Dog with his foot on the ropes, but the Dog still kicked out. After the match Owens puts the boots to Dog until Thez and Players Club made the save. Match was made for later in the show between Players Club and Plezing Brothers when Mr. Big got on the mic and said He and Christopher was the best tag team, Steve Plezing breaks in and says he and Cecil wasn't too shaby themselves. So they made the match to see who was the best tag team.
2.Big Easy & "Cold Hard Ca$h" Tommy Green defeated Bull Horton & "Outlander" Dave McKewan
Outlander comes off the top with a crossbody on Easy, which was a mistake as Easy caught Outlander and gave him a fallaway slam for his troubles. Outlander tried to tag Horton, but Horton refused to tag. Horton and Easy brawl on the floor. Green schoolboys Horton for the win. Horton then attacked Outlander after the match blaming him for the lost. I really like Green and Easy as a team, I wish they would wrestle other teams like Players Club, Plezing Brothers, Dawg Pound, but the down side of that is they are all faces.
3.Steven Michaels defeated Bubba Boodrow and Justin Envy w/Miss Chivious in a Three-way
This was a really good match. Envy piles Michaels and Boodrow on each other and does a standing moonsault on both of them. They then do a series of nearfall. Envy and Boodrow brawls on the floor and Miss Chivious gets in the way and is knocked out. Back in the ring Michaels caught Envy with a superkick and gets the win.
4.Mike "Action" Jackson defeated Marty Shiffbower
Shiffbower goes to the back and gets the Boodrow brothers. Jackson does a suicide dive on the Boodrow Brothers, back in the ring Jackson picks up the win over Shiffbower. This match was kinda disappointing, not that is was bad, because it wasn't not by a long shot, But not as good as Jackson matches with Christopher and Roberts. It was a good match, but not at the level as his other matches in UCW.
5.Crow defeated J.B. Wild by DQ.
J.B. Wild hits crow with a chain and gets the pinfall, but afterwards ref finds the chain and rewards the match to Crow.
6.Jesse Powers defeated Spidar Boodrow
Shiffbower suplexes Powers on the floor. Back in the ring Powers with a version of the kidcrusher (Billy Kidman's finisher in WCW), for the win. Afterwards Powers and Boodrow take turns bashing one another over the head with a chair.
7.Plezing Brothers vs. Players Club No Contest
Both teams comes out to big pops. Plezing Brothers double team Christopher on the floor. Christopher suplexes Steve on the floor. Rosie and Owens do a run in to end the match. Dawg Pound makes the save. Dawg Pound chases Rosie and Owens to the back. Then Horton comes out and attacks both teams. They make the match for next week Cecil Plezing vs. Bull Horton.
8.Dragon Warrior defeated River in a No DQ match
This match was mostly a brawl with some wrestling in it. Dragon picks up the win with a stroke on a stop sign.
9.Dawg Pound defeated Fairy Express
Smoke with a stunner on Owens then Thez came off the top with a frogsplash and gets the win. Owens and Rosie attacks Dawg Pound afterwards. Players Club and Plezing Brothers comes in and is layed out by Owens with a chair. Bull Horton then comes in and helps Owens and Rosie. Owens busted open both Bret Christopher and Steve Plezing with the chair. Cecil and Bull gets into a wild brawl on the floor. If Plezing and Horton match is the same intensity as this brawl then it should be a awesome match. Something I will be looking foward to.
I will give this show a A-. It was a great show from top to bottom. There was nothing on this show that was bad. This is probably the best show I have seen put on by UCW. All the workers really worked hard and gave the fans everything they had. They gave the fans their $5 worth. A couple more shows like this one and UCW will be the best indy in Alabama.
