Here is an interview Roy and Michelle did with ref Adam Diamond. This interview ran on their site for about 2 days before they closed it down. I like to thank Michelle and Roy for their permission to post this interview on my site.
Adam Diamond is a young man with plenty of heart. He is ACW's young lion. At his lowest point, Adam aligned himself with the Dungeon, becoming the puppet of Scott Reznor and Midevil. Somewhere along his Dungeon trip, Adam Diamond picked up a fan following. They chant his name when he comes out to the ring. Now that he's back from the Dark Side, Adam's fan following is even bigger. We recently cornered Adam up for an interview so fans could learn more about Adam Diamond, ACW's tough referee!

Q: How did you get interested in wrestling?
Adam: I started watching wrestling back when I was a kid, when Hulk
Hogan was on the top of the business. I watched
Rock-N-Wrestling on Sat. mornings, and absolutely
loved the Hulkster. I stopped watching it for a
while, and didn't really think about it until late
1995, when WCW started to be shown more and more. I
started liking other wrestlers; DDP, Sting, Macho Man,
Chris Beniot, Dean Malenko, my idol, The "Nature Boy"
Ric Flair, and a few others. Since then, I've been
watching wrestling non-stop and have gained a respect
and love for this business that I never thought
possible. I'm glad that I am able to be a part of it
every weekend. I'm still learning things about this
business, and who knows, maybe one day we'll see me on
national TV.
Q: How did you become a referee?
Adam: Well, as you all know, Mid-Evil originally intended to bring me in as "HIS"
referee, since I was on his payroll. He just waited
until the time was right and the stakes were high
enough for me to show my true colors at the time. He
waited until it was time for him to be Heavyweight
Champion, and told me beforehand that he wanted me to
start pulling my weight and make sure that he walked
out champion. It was, after all, thanks to him that I
even was in ACW at all. He, as well as Brian Sterling
and Scott Reznor, trained me to be the referee that I
am today.
Q: What possessed you to join the Dungeon as their own
personal referee?
Adam: The Almighty Dollar. I can't
entirely defend my actions when I was under his
direction, but Mid-Evil was the one to sign my
paychecks, so I had to follow his directions. I was
just doing what I was told. I've helped put a few
people out of ACW, and who knows; maybe one day
they'll be back. I'm not entirely proud of my actions
as a crooked referee, but I know one thing, from now
on, I'll call it right down the middle.....
1....2.....3. You have my guarantee on that!
Q:What made you decide to part ways with Scott Reznor?
Adam: I was tired of his whining, complaining about always
being screwed out of the title, and throwing temper
tantrums all the time. Enough's enough. He pushed me
over the line. And, made me realize who I had aligned
myself with. I didn't like that. It was time for a
change.
Q:Is there anything you would like to say to Scott
Reznor?
Adam: Watch your back, because if you're not careful, your
shoulders might get counted to the mat 1....2....3.
And it won't be Ed. It'll be me. If you take out
your frustrations on Ed, or if the referee gets
knocked out again, you can believe that I'll be there
in a heartbeat to make sure that you get your just
desserts.
Q:Since your days with the Dungeon, you seem to have
picked up quite a fan following. How does that make you feel?
Adam: I don't quite know how to take it. I've never had a
fan following before. It's something new to me. I
was backstage this past Saturday night, recovering
from that Stunner that Jigsaw gave me, and I heard the
fans chanting my name. I was amazed. I've never had
my name chanted. I'm flattered. Who would have
thought that a referee would have a fan club?
Q: Have you ever considered becoming a wrestler?
Adam: Yes, I have. I'm currently happy doing what I do best, which
is refereeing, but I'd love to one day become Adam
Diamond, the wrestler, not just the referee. Maybe
sooner than later, ya'll will see me wrestling a
match. All I can say is keep your eyes open, and you
never know what you might see.
Q: Have you ever had an injury while being ref?
Adam: Well, I've taken most all of the finishers that ACW has to
dish out. From the Bagwell Slam, to the
Kritter-Chokeslam, to Goth's P.S.DDT, to Ed's
Clothesline of Death. I've taken them all. Now, I
haven't gone to the doctor after taking those moves,
but, I'm sure that I've had a concussion or two from
anyone of them.
Q: Who are your all time favorite wrestlers?
Adam: Like I mentioned earlier, Ric Flair will be my all time
favorite wrestler. He's the Dirtiest player in the
Game, The Nature Boy, and perhaps one of the greatest
of all time to step into the Squared Circle. I have
always had a respect for wrestlers who were just that.
Wrestlers. Someone who could pick apart their
opponent almost scientifically, and make them submit,
pin their shoulders to the mat, or just flat-out
out-wrestle his opponent. Dean Malenko was another
one of my early favorites. My current favorite would
have to be Kurt Angle. He is, in my opinion, what a
true wrestler should be. He can perform top rope
moves, brawl, dish out the pain, make you tap out, or
just plain out-wrestle you. He is what I want to be
in wrestling.
Q: How are you going to win back the fans' trust now that
you are no longer aligned with Scott Reznor?
Adam: I hope that it's something that I can win back, so that they
know that when I'm in the ring, I'm going to call it
right down the middle. They might not always like my
descision, but when I make a call, I stick by it. All
they have to know is that I'm not going to align
myself with scum like Reznor any more.
Q: How do you feel about ACW?
Adam: I love ACW. I think it's a great place to work, and
the fans are loyal. If it wasn't for Frankie and
others believing in me, I wouldn't be in the position
I am currently in. I'm going to stick with ACW as
long as I can.
Q: Anything you would like to add? Say a few words to the
fans?
Adam: Let's support ACW and bring our friends to see
what kind of exciting action that we have to offer.
We go out and give our all to the fans, and pour our
hearts our for the fans. Please support ACW and
everything they do. Bring your friends, family, and
loved ones. We'll put on our best show for ya'll.
