Interview With Forsaken

Here is a interview with Forsaken. Forsaken wrestles for the TWA, SEW, PWA, TWF, NWA Wildside promotions. Lets take a trip to the darkside as we interview Forsaken.

Chris: How did you get your start in pro wrestling?

Forsaken: I got my start in wrestling as far as watching it when I saw my first match which was Bret Hart vs British Bulldog at Summerslam 92...and from there I just noticed something about Bret Hart that just made me want to do this...from that point I trained in the gym working out and stuff...then after I graduated high school I worked with this guy and he had money and he somehow got up with enough people to start a promotion and he had some guys show me enough to get me on shows....well which I know now was stupid but I got trained...and I have been working for about four years...and I am still learning I don't think any indy wrestler ever stops learning I mean you learn something each and every time you go out there...and all you can do is continously train...learn...meet new guys and go out there and do it and have fun doing it...while never getting a ego about it...I hate guys that get big egos that they are in essence larger than life and they can't lose...I mean its about the fans...

Chris: Tell us a little about the Forsaken gimmick? And how you came up with it?

Forsaken: The Forsaken gimmick pretty much came from the fact that I have always like darker characters...except Bret Hart I just liked something about him he was always my favorite...but I just liked dark characters...and I got into listening to the music of the Insane Clown Posse...and go into the facepaint thing...about the gimmick I try to portray that the world has "Forsaken" itself...given up on itself and that people are sick and will do anything for money...that people would rather sit on there couch and watch football then work a job...and that if people don't change and stop being stupid that this society is doomed...and it gets over pretty good its not hard to get people to hate you wearing facepaint...I though am in the process of getting a mask made and then I will go away from the facepaint...but it pretty much came from sort of a combination of a Raven type character and also the message of the Dark Carnival....

Chris: What wrestlers mostly influenced your in-ring style?

Forsaken: Bret Hart from a technical sense...the other wrestlers that have influenced particular parts of my style are: Vampiro, Raven, Kanyon, Chris Jehrico, Hardy Boys

Chris: If you could wrestle any wrestler past or present, who would it be? And in what kind of match?

Forsaken: If I could wrestle any guy it would have to be Bret Hart...in just a normal match

Chris: What are your goals? And where do you see yourself in 5-10 years?

Forsaken: My goals are of course to be successful wrestling...whether that means eventually being in WWE or building my name on the independent level where I can be successful thats cool...but wrestling is what I love to do and it is definitely something I see myself still doing in 5-10 years...

Chris: What do you think is the hardest thing about pro wrestling?

Forsaken: The hardest thing about pro wrestling is the fact that its a backstabbing business everyone is in it to help themselves out...you might meet alot of nice people in this business but you will meet alot of assholes too...and people you think may be friends can and will stab you in the back for a better opportunity...but thats just part of it...

Chris: What advice would you give a kid who's dream is to be a pro wrestler?

Forsaken: Being a pro wrestler is a lifes work it isn't something you can just jump into...you have to work and work and work...and never quit...alot of driving...promoting yourself...getting on as much shows as you can...sometimes with very little money if any at all...its something that you have to absolutely love and have the desire to do...if the desire is not there then you might as well quit now...you should start out with the dream of being the best wrestler that you can be with your body and being the best at what you do...I love it and you have to also...alot of sacrifices to be made.

Chris: Anything else you would like to add?

Forsaken: Forsaken is open to any and all bookings you may have...I work technical style, highflying...hardcore...whatever style you like I can adapt too...I am very easy to work with and have never said no...if you ever want to contact me for bookings, info, or if you want video tape samples or anything just let me know BookForsaken01@AOL.com
