We have all heard of the Titanic...which on one cold night of April 14th 1912 left the world above with more than 1500 souls and faded away into history. It was given the title of "THE UNSINKABLE SHIP". It was the triumph of the Industrial Revolution. James Bruce Ismay of the White Star Line visioned a huge steamer which would change the entire shipping industry with its speed and capacity. It was designed by Mr.Thomas Andrews in the Harland and Wolff Shipyard, Belfast. It was named the Rms-Titanic, but was never chrishtened as it was the tradition of the White Star Line not to christen a ship before launch. The sinking of the Titanic was the greatest maritime disaster ever to hit the shipping industry. However the disaster is shrouded in mystery. There are many controversies over the position of the Californian and the action of the first officer William Mcmaster Murdoch. This site will try to tell the facts behind the disaster. The legacy of the Rms-Titanic still lives on today.......
