 | Summer in these northern climes can be quite pleasant as we discovered. One of our stops was at a small village with a lake. On a beautiful, sunny day life seemed idyllic in this pleasant spot. Only the enormous stacks of firewood outside the houses reminded us of the kind of winters, which they endure. It was quite interesting to go in the shops in these little places and look at the selection of goods available to them. There was a very limited range of food on sale but there appeared to be copious quantities of vodka. The picture of our ship, seen earlier was also taken at this place |
