No such trouble here. This is one of a number of misericords that can be seen in the Grote Kirk in Breda which is about an hours drive from Dordrecht, close to the Belgian border. For the uninitiated, misericords are found on the under side of seats in choir stalls. The are designed so that the person occupying the seat can remain partially seated even while standing for the hymns when the seat is raised. |
