Rotterdam has little in common with the typical Dutch city. It is Holland's second city and an important commercial centre with a character very much of its own. Typical of this place are the cubist houses designed by Piet Blom which are situated by the Oudehaven, just by the Blaak railway station. It is possible to enter one of these houses and get an idea of what it would be like to live inside one of them. |
