Level OneSled Fang starts Red XIII's limit skills off with a nice physical attack that is not only powerful, but long range, while the Lunatic High provides the party with the ever-useful haste ability long before the Time materia is available to them.Level TwoLevel two starts off with Blood Fang a physical attack that hits not only for damage, but also drains the enemy's magic power and transfers it to Red, this can be extremely useful at times when Ether is in short supply. Blood Fang, however; is clearly overshadowed by the Stardust Ray, a fantastic non-elemental attack that can really do some major damage if you can obtain it early enough. It works against a single enemy or groups and is clearly the better choice of level two unless you need the magic boost from the Blood Fang.Level ThreeHowling Moon begins level four with a berzerker attack that substantially raises Red's attack power, making him a true powerhouse of physical force, the only downside is that you can no longer control his actions. Earth Rave, however; is a substantially greater attack, but hits for a series of five elementals, thus one of them could end up healing the enemy. This isn't all that discouraging though, since the other four do plenty of damage, and Earth Rave will clearly be the choice limit of level three.Level Four| Level four contains Red's greatest limit and one of the most powerful in the game. Cosmo Memory deals massive non-elemental damage to either a group or single opponent and is a fantastic bonus to Red's already outstanding character abilities. | | | | | | | |
