Quistis Trepe

Quistis is my second favorite character in the game. I like her, she's smart, she's tough and she's had a lot of bad luck in her lifetime. Anyone who's ever been labled a "prodigy" should be able to identify with Quistis. She's been pushed forward without the opportunity to pause and all she wants a simple bit of recognition for her true skills. She may not be the best teacher, but what she lacks in classroom finesse, she more than makes up for on the battlefield. All in all, I think one of the main reasons I like Quistis as a character is because she's a real contrast to the others. She doesn't give out a whole lot of attitude, she can take orders as well as she can give them, she's always got a plan in her mind whether or not anyone wants to hear it and she's a top-knotch fighter. Sensitive, yet strong, Quistis is one of the characters in Final Fantasy VIII I feel has some of the best skills to offer, but is far too many times overlooked. Her Blue Magic can be a lifesaver in a tough jam, she's as good a medic as front line combatant, and she's just plain cool.
