Elton's Solo Tour

Set List

The set list is a bit out of order, but I know the songs are correct. The encores are correct also... I could actually memorize those four in order. hehe.

Well, this is where I get to say what I think about Elton's latest tour. I attended a concert of his on April 28, 2000, and it was literally the most awsome thing I've ever seen. Elton did an excellent job. I was very impressed by how nice he was to the audience. He was an absolute doll. Elton opened with "Your Song." Through that first song, it was like no one was even breathing. Our eyes were glued on the stage.

Elton wore a black suit with big square silver sequins on the shoulders and the sequins in a design at the bottom of his pants, along with his orange lensed glasses. For the second encore, he came out in a knee length pull-over jacket, different pants and his plain old clear glasses.

We had great seats-bottom of the first level, so I was directly even with the stage and Elton was facing towards us. One thing I will always remember about that concert is that we were so close, when the lights hit Elton's jacket a certain way, the sequins reflected on our faces. Everyone in out row looked speckled. hehe.

Elton played for two hours and fifty five minutes. No one wanted it to be over. Even after the last encore, everyone still kept clapping and cheering for about 10 minutes after they had turned up the house lights! We didn't want to leave! I know I could've sat there for three more hours. Most everybody else would have too.

Well I'm not going to try to explain the concert any more. There's no way I can. It really left me speechless. Any Elton fan that didn't get to see him on this tour missed out on so much!
