Why We Like Doctor Who

Greetings fellow Whovians!

This site isn't about me, just my interest in Doctor Who. I was introduced to the series in 1985 on channel 9 WVAN Savannan/Pembroke in Georgia. I was 12 years old and was channel surfing one late Saturday night and caught the start of a show I'd never heard of. That episode was the Invisible Enemy with Tom Baker and the introduction of arguably the most famous of the Doctor's companions....K-9. I've continued to watch the show and get a collection going of many of the shows products. The show may have been cancelled in 1989, but I'm still a huge DW fan.To this day me and some friends meet weekly to watch the show, every existing episode (and some recons of those that don't exist anymore). We have been going strong since 2000 and still have yet to finish the series.

Viva la "Who"

The first time I saw Dr. Who was in the year of the "New Who Movie." But it wasn't the movie. I found it by accident. I was channel surfing late one night and I happend upon a show that was so quirky I was hooked. At 11.30pm I found myself starring up at the TV saying, "This is really cool". Most people laugh at me and say they are supprised I was captivated by my first episode. I'll admit, after seeing many of the other ep's it isn't the best, but Four Till Doomsday will always have a special place in my heart. Since then I have become a very avid fan. Which is very difficult living in the middle and to the left of no where. I am currently working with two audio fiction groups, Random Audio Fiction, and the other is Zindignite. Every one should try to be apart of an audio production, it is a wonderful experience(an I am a Light techie by habit). I have just written my 2nd Random Fiction and recently became the Co-Founder of the largest Dr. Who club in Yahoo. At this point I would like to thank all the People who helped/encoraged/laughed with/taught/humored me in oh so many ways. (This is in Alpha order except one or two)

Maggie P- For the only other Dr. Who fan within 100 miles, for being the "Castelan"

Nad Snave(Mr E.)- For making me laugh in school, for the afterschool wheele chair races, trying to teach me to be an editor(I still think we need circles), For making me and editor(what was he thinking :), Rosebud
