History : During the month of December 1987 an orphanage in New York took in a nine year old boy. The boy would not reveal anything about himself except that he was from Des Moines and he was nine years old. He would not say how he got there or who his parents were. Whether he remembers them or has memory loss is still unknown. But the orphanage took him in and he was named Angel after a story that would always settle him before sleep. He was quite quiet but otherwise normal until he was twelve years old.
He then began to be bullied because of his abnormal height. He became depressed and began to cut himself. He was rushed to hospital twice from blood loss. The taunting continued until he was fourteen.
He then by chance heard a Metallica track and discovered an outlet for his built up anger : heavy music. His obsession with the music grew until he had the confidence to strike back at his tormentors. Due to his immense size he had very well developed muscles and his strength overcame them. He was then left alone until he was sixteen, a year before he was due to leave the orphanage.
He was considered an outsider by all the other teenagers. He couldn't understand why. But one day he met a pretty girl named Lara. He liked her a lot and watched her from a distance. But slowly she became interested in a boy named Ryan. Ryan was very popular and good at sports. As Angel watched their romance blossom he became bitter and twisted. He learned to hate the "beautiful people". All those who were popular, clever, smart or funny fell into this category for Angel. He became violent and hard to control. One day he could no longer stand being amongst others so he ran away from the orphanage. He made small amounts of money fighting in underground "fight clubs". He learned many hardcore styles of fighting and became an expert in wielding all weapons. He is now one of the most dangerous hardcore grapplers in the world.
Appearance : Angel has long curly black hair which reaches down to just below his shoulders. He wears a black leather mask with flames that go up either side. He wears red contact lenses that make him look very intimidating to his opponents. On his way to the ring he wears a black robe and an executioners hood which he removes when he gets into the ring. Underneath the hood is his mask and underneath the cloak he wears a black leather costume that is studded and covers his entire body right up to the top of his neck.
