Low Points Some cheap characters Review- Tekken. The word strikes fear in CAPCOM. Tekken. A very popular franchise. Tekken is a fighting game that wowed gamers. Tekken 2 was an excellent game. Namco decided to make a third. How did the third fare? Well let me give you my opinion on the game. Well, does a fighting game ever have a [good] storyline? Not really. Well Tekken 3s isn't really that deep. But it's good for a fighting game. There holding another Tekken tournament. Who hoo!!! Yee ha! What else is new? Anyway there are alot of characters in the game. Theres about 12 characters and then you unlock about 7-8 more. They include returning characters to brand spanken new ones. The game is WAY too easy. The final boss (True Ogre) is just a major pushover. The games difficulty is a major downside. Tekken 2 was a good challenge but they softened up for Tekken 3. And also a little gripe I found is that one hit does alot of damage. Just a little gripe I found. The control is good. Basic, Left Kick, Right Kick, Left Punch, Right Punch. Combos are easy to execute. No hassel here. I wasn't really that happy with the "walk" forward because it was kinda hard to do, but no one would really have a problem with it. There is a VERY cool mini-games you can unlock too. Which is a Volleyball like game where you try to hit a ball into your opponent or make it fall on their side. Each time one happens they lose health (this is also a way to get a secret character...hint hint). The graphics are just great. There is a little pixelation when you pull of a throw put it doesn't destract you from the gameplay. The backrounds are wonderful looking. My favorite stage is Nina's factory like stage. I'm a big fan of dark and at night stuff. The characters are as realistic as possibly can be expressed. The FMV is awesome. The bodies are so realistic. Heihachi is just awesome looking. Every little detail you could look for is there. The endings are REALLY cool. Pointless, but cool. FMV in a game is used as a reward system usually. Well same thing here. Beat the game get the characters ending. Detail while playing is still awesome. Garbage floating the wind, little cracks in the sidewalks, buildings looking like they do in real life. It must have took alot of time to do all that detail. I mean I can't really describe it in words. One look at the game and you'll know what I meamn The sound has up-beat tunes that'll make you hum them while you play. Eddy's is my favorite. Each stage has it's own beat that goes with it. Like Eddy's has a "tropical" sort of sound that'll go right with it. All in all the music is right where it needs to be. Your usual grunts and groans in a fighting game. When you do a "leg snap" you here the leg crack. Cool sounds when you hit them, and block the attack. When the characters fall down you here a sound. When you pull of a move you'll hear a grunt or groan. Basic but cool stuff. The game is definatly worth a purchase. It's a great game and deserves to be on your shelf. It isn't as good as it's procedure but it is still a great game. Gameplay: 8/10
