Sarah yawned as she rolled over, snuggling her body closer to AJ's. She softly kissed his chest, while she felt his arm go around her waist, and gently rub her arm.
She let out a soft moan, and looked up to see if AJ was awake. When she saw his brown eyes sparking she kissed him so passionately.
"Damn baby, I don't wanna get out of this bed with you…" AJ said kissing her neck while he leaned over her body.
"But AJ its already 2pm, and we have to shower and everything and be at the club for Kev's party in 5 hours, and if you are planning on showering with me, there goes an hour, until we eat, and go shopping for something to wear and then-" she was cut off by AJ's lips on hers.
"Ok baby…" he said, as he climbed out of bed to go to the bathroom.
*meanwhile*
Nick pulled his shirt over his head, as he heard almost a silent knock at his door. "I got it baby…" Mandy called to him.
Mandy answered the door in nothing but a bra and a pair of boxer shorts. She came face to face with Karine. "Hey Kari!" Mandy said, opening the door further so Karine could come in.
Nick looked up and saw Karine standing there. Nick walked up and handed Mandy a shirt, then pushing her into the bathroom, and pulling the door closed.
He grabbed the top of Karine's wrist, and pulled her all the way to the back of the room. Then he heard Mandy turn on the hair dryer and figured that it would take her a good half hour to dry her hair.
"Wassup Karine?" Nick asked, sitting down on the couch.
"Nothing really. Um…you know that me and you were assigned to go-"
"Out and pick up the cake and decorations…" Nick continued.
"Yeah…" Karine said, half smiling.
"Yep, thats why I am ready already. So do you wanna go now, or do you wanna get lunch?" Nick asked playing nervously with his fingers, hoping she would agree to get lunch.
"Lets just get what we need to…" Karine lied, knowing she wanted to go out to lunch with him.
"Oh…yea thats fine…." Nick replied. 'Was that disappointment in my baby's voice?' Karine thought to herself. 'Nah, just must be imagining it…'
Nick and Karine both got up, Nick told Mandy where they were going and they sped out to the mall.
*30 minutes later*
"Nick! I don't like chocolate cake! Why can't we just get a ice cream cake!" Karine said angrily putting her hands on her hips. Nick thought she looked so sexy when she argued with people. Yet she was the most stubborn girl he knew.
"Because Karine, Kevin doesn't like ice cream cake! He likes chocolate cake with chocolate icing! Its not your birthday!" Nick argued.
"But I am going to be eating the cake and I hate chocolate cake!"
"But you like chocolate ice cream cake?"
"Yes!"
"Karine you make no sense!" Nick said angrily.
"Yes I do!"
"Fine! We will get Kevin his cake, and we will get you your own freakin ice cream cake!" Nick said, grabbing the chocolate cake off of the rack, and going into the freezer part and getting a small round ice cream cake.
"Thank you!" Karine said sarcastically. She stood back and watched Nick pay.
When he put his wallet in his back pocket she walked out of the Carvel ice cream place and moaned, "Men!"
*1 hour later*
Ali put make up as best as she could on her face as she prepared herself for the party tonight. She thought that maybe Brian would ask her to dance and they would be able to talk. But then she couldn't be to helpful.
"If I talk to him, then he might get mad again and hit me. And if I don't talk to him he will stay mad at me and think I never wanna see him or do whatever with him again. On the other hand if I don't talk to him I might have fun tonight…but with who? I mean Nick and Mandy are going to be together and then AJ and Sarah and then Kevin, well god! Yea he will never come close to me with Brian there…." Ali talked to herself as she started straitening her long dark brownish-red hair.
She continued, "So all who will really be there is me and Kari. Well that ain't bad but we like can't dance together cuz well neither of us are like that, and then everyone would think there is something weird. And of course I will be side tracked by Brian all night. He is probably gonna look so good, and then I dunno what the hell I'm gonna do!"
She sighed, finished with her hair. "Damnit! Why is it every time I'm fighting with some guy I look so damn ugly!"
She forcefully pulled the straitener cord out of the wall, and through her brush at the wall.
"Fuck…" she cursed, pissed off.
*at the same time*
"Black is going to make the whole place look gothic!" Karine argued.
"But Kev likes black and blue!" Nick said.
"Nick right now it doesn't matted what freakin color he likes it has to look right!"
Karine grabbed purple and green streamers and headed toward the cash register. Nick followed.
"That will be $8.19 please…" the cashier said.
Karine stared expectantly at Nick. "He's your friend not mine…." Karine said watching as Nick pulled out a ten, and handed it to the lady.
*7pm at the club*
AJ grabbed Sarah's hand, and pulled her out to the dance floor, as they began to dance. Nick and Mandy followed their idea as they headed out to the dance floor also.
Brian stood there talking to Howie and staring mainly at Ali. Alicia and Karine had taken a seat at the bar, and were sipping their margaritas.
"Damn, damn, damn…." Karine cursed seeing Nick grinding with Mandy on the dance floor.
Ali looked in the direction of Nick and Mandy and smiled at Karine sympathetically. "Is ok babe, he will come to his sense eventually…Howie said that he wanted to dance with you…."
Karine's dark baby blues lit up quickly. "Are you serious?!" she asked excitedly.
"Yea. Thats what he told me-" Alicia stopped talking when she saw Brian walking over to the both of them.
"Here comes Brian…" Ali whispered.
Karine looked over, and smiled at him. "Hey Bri!" she called to him.
Brian came up, and stood behind Karine, and leaned down and whispered in her ear, "I wanna talk to you…wanna dance?" Karine smiled.
"Sure thing Bri!" she replied. Ali looked at her and watched as she got up and headed over to the dance floor with Brian. As soon as they found a spot on the floor, Brian McNight, "Back at One" came on.
Karine moved closer to Brian, pushing her body on his, hoping Nick would see, and get jealous. Brian's hands circled around her waist, latching together, and resting comfortably right above her ass.
"So what did you want to ask me?" Karine asked, looking around and watching Nick.
"I wanna ask Ali to dance, you know so we can talk, but I'm afraid that she is going to say no…" Brian replied, holding Karine tighter.
"No, no Brian, she will say yes, well at least I think she will…"
"God I hope so!"
Karine laughed slightly. "I wish Nick would ask me…"
"He wants to…"
"Aw, no he doesn't…"
"Yea, babe he does!"
"But is he going to? Its different if you want to…."
"I dunno, you know how he is, he is to unpredictable."
Karine pulled back a little and smiled at Brian. "Yea, I know. Thanx for being a wonderful friend Brian…"
Brian smiled at her, and softly kissed her cheek. "Anytime…"
*later that night; 12am*
Well for the most part it was an uneventful night. Nick never asked Karine, nor did Brian ask Alicia.
So that left everyone in there rooms. Since Nick and Mandy, Karine, and AJ and Sarah's rooms all had connecting doors; once Karine had changed out of her dress she headed over to AJ's room.
"Alex? Can I have a bottle of wine?" Karine asked.
AJ looked up and saw her pulling a bottle out of the fridge. "Yea, for what?" AJ asked.
"Nothing I'm just thursty."
"Kari, you shouldn't be drinking wine at 12 o'clock at night…" AJ warned her, him knowing himself why she wanted to drink.
Karine just gave him a cocky smile and walked back into her own room. She threw her robe off, standing there in her skimpy silk pajamas, that the top was only closed with one button at her chest.
She screwed open the top, and took a long sip. She sat down on the couch, looking out the sliding glass door, at the beautiful beach that lay before her.
*at the same time*
Mandy pulled Nick's shirt off as she kissed him softly on his lips.
"Make love to me tonight Nicky…" she whispered, putting his hands on her waist, as she slipped onto his lap.
"Mandy, I dunno, I mean Karine is-"
"Don't worry about her baby, she won't mind, she will just pretend it is her screaming your name instead of me…"
Nick wanted to reach up and slap her as hard as he could when that came out of her mouth, but she kissed him so passionately he forgot all about wanting to hurt her. All he could think about was, 'Man, I wanna be doing this with Karine…'
*1 hour later*
Karine fought herself to stay conscious. As hard as she could, she threw the large wine bottle at the wall watching it shatter, much like her life.
She fell to the floor crying. Only a few minutes later, the door opened and AJ walked in, in nothing but his boxers.
"Karine Marie!" he yelled at her, then realizing that he shouldn't have yelled as he watched her shake.
"Oh my god! You drank that whole bottle?!" AJ asked almost n shock.
Karine slowly nodded her head, as she stumbled to her feet. She walked close to him, as they both head a soft moan from Nick's room.
"Here that AJ? They are having sex!" Karine said, frustrated and hurt.
AJ stared down at her, and felt so bad. Karine walked closer to him, putting her hands on the sides of his stomach.
"Make love to me Alex…" Karine asked, then licking his chest.
AJ pushed her away. "No." he said sternly.
"Please? I know you can make me scream…" she continued.
AJ just looked at her, and sighed. "Go to bed Karine…" and with that he walked back to his room, closing and locking the door behind him.
Karine fell onto the bed, as she saw all black.
*at the same time*
"Mandy, did you here that?" Nick said pulling away from her urgent kisses, when he heard a loud noise from Karine's room.
"Nicky I didn't here anything…" Mandy said, returning her mouth to his neck while she ran her hands up and down his chest.
"Thats it baby…relax…" Mandy softly whispered.
Nick closed his eyes as he let her mouth devour him. "Mmm….oh god…that feels so good Karine…." Nick moaned.
Mandy jerked off of him, and stared at him, anger flaming in her eyes. "What did you say?"
"What?" Nick asked confused.
"You said Karine…"
"No I didn't!" Nick denied, knowing full well that it just slipped out.
"Thats it Nick! We are over! I don't wanna here or see you ever again. Take your clothes and get out!" Mandy screamed, tears running down her face.
Nick didn't know what to say…he was happy so now he could be with Karine, yet he was upset that he was losing Mandy…
Nick grabbed his stuff, and headed into Karine's room. When he closed the door, and saw the sight he cried himself.
"Baby! Oh my god what did you do?!" Nick asked, as he went over to Karine.
Softly he shook her. Her whole body was ice cold. "Oh my god!" Nick said. He picked her up into his arms, and carried her into the bathroom.
"Nick?" Karine whispered.
"Yea baby its me…" Nick said. "Now you have to throw up or you are going to die!" Nick said worried for her life.
Once Karine opened her eyes enough to see the toilet, she immediately felt the need to throw up. And she did, for almost half hour strait, Nick by her side the whole time.
Once she was done, she crawled into Nick's lap, and immediately his arms went around her shaking body.
"I love you…" Karine whispered to him.
"I love you too…" Nick replied, then carrying her over to the bed, climbing in next to her, and wrapping his arms tight around her. "Goodnight baby…" Nick whispered softly, but Karine had already fallen asleep.
