Cartoon Cartoons Extreme

I am Geno and this is my page about Cartoon Cartoons, a series of shows seen on Cartoon Network. Here is a not-so-brief history of Cartoon Cartoons:

It all started with World Premiere Toons. Hanna-Barbera Studios wanted some new shows with classic cartoon comedy. Thus, Cartoon Network joined in and World Premiere Toons was born, featuring the following shorts, in order that I think of them in:

Dino in: Stay Out
Johnny Bravo
Sledgehammer O' Possum in: Out and About
The Powerpuff Girls in: Meat Fuzzy Lumpkins
Hard Luck Duck
Dexter's Laboratory
Yuckie Duck in: Short Orders
George and Junior in: Look Out Below

They all became very popular, so they made Johnny Bravo their mascot and made World Premiere Toons: The Next Generation. Featuring these, in order of premiere:

Shake and Flick in: Raw Deal in Rome
The Adventures of Capt. Buzz Cheeply in: A Clean Getaway
O. Ratz (with Dave D. Fly) in: Rat In A Hot Tin Can
Phish and Chip in: Short Fuse
The Fat Cats in: Drip Dry Drips
George and Junior's Christmas Spectacular
Yoink of the Yukon
Yuckie Duck in: I'm On My Way

They also became popular, and Dexter's Laboratory won an emmy. Later, to celebrate Halloween, Cartoon Network presented the Mina and the Count short, Interlude With a Vampire. Then, it was the last World Premiere Toon of 1995, Cow and Chicken in: No Smoking. It became very popular itself!

Time passed, as more World Premiere Toons came, three were put into a half hour and called World Premiere Toons: The Show. Later, Dexter's Laboratory became so popular, that it got its own series (with side shows Dial M for Monkey and the Justice Friends!) At the same time, the World Premiere Toons were too old to go by the name "World Premiere Toons", so since at the very beginning of each one, the main character would say "What A Cartoon!", they called it "The What A Cartoon Show!" Just as Dexter's Laboratory grew into its second season, Johnny Bravo and Cow and Chicken both got their own series as well. Then, the time slot in which Dexter's Laboratory, Johnny Bravo, Cow and Chicken (with sideshow, I Am Weasel), and The What A Cartoon Show was shown was called "Cartoon Cartoons." Cartoon Cartoons were then very popular, making Cow and Chicken and Dexter's Lab both winning emmys! In the Fall Preview of TV Guide, it said that The Powerpuff Girls would also get their own series! And it was true! My favorite Cartoon Cartoon, even though girly and childish, is the Powerpuff Girls, cause it's the funniest! When the Powerpuff Girls premiered, so did Ed, Edd, n Eddy, the only Cartoon Cartoon that wasn't made by Hanna-Barbera and wasn't a spinoff of The What A Cartoon Show! However, one more Cartoon Cartoon was to come without being a spinoff of The What A Cartoon Show. In fact, it was the spinoff of a spinoff of The What A Cartoon Show. It was I Am Weasel, spinoff of Cow and Chicken! Later, two more Cartoon Cartoons came! An original series, Mike, Lu, and Og, and another spinoff of the What A Cartoon Show, Courage the Cowardly Dog! Thus, Cartoon Cartoon gets new episodes on Fridays, giving it the name "Cartoon Cartoon Fridays!"
