"After Brian left my house last night I truly realized what I had done. I started crying and got myself all worked up, and I fainted and hit my head when I fell. My mom came to visit me, coming through my door only seconds before I got back up so she rushed me to the hospital, even though it wasn’t that serious. I couldn’t tell her that because I was too out of breath to talk. While I was there I decided to take a pregnancy test. The doctor told me I was pregnant."
Even though A.J. was mad at her, he couldn’t bare the sad look on her face. She obviously didn’t get any sleep for there were bags under her red eyes. Tears were streaming down her cheeks. She had trouble breathing because she was crying so hard. A.J. couldn’t be mad anymore, but concerned. He wrapped her up in his arms, trying to calm her down. "Don’t cry," he whispered. "We’ll be okay."
"I’m so sorry," she sobbed. "I love you."
He bit his lip, holding back his own tears. "I love you too."
"How can you love me after what I did? I hid my feelings from you, I blamed you for everything, I walked out on you, and I left you hanging all this time. I’ve been such a-"
"Don’t even finish that sentence. Trust me when I say this: I always have and I always will love you. We’ve been through all this and I can still say it."
"But I deserved what I’ve been through. You don’t. I just can’t believe how I’ve been."
"Don’t be so hard on yourself. You were scared. I can’t say I would’ve done the same thing, but you didn’t know what to do. I understand that."
Patricia was still crying, harder than ever, so she had to sit down. She still felt bad. "I’m so sorry," she managed to say.
A.J. couldn’t take the look on her face. The site of her crying to hard was too much for him. He had to go somewhere. Anywhere. Not knowing what to do, he ran into the nearby restroom. He stood over the sink, looking himself in the mirror. Behind his reflection was Howie’s.
"You know you can’t stay here forever."
"I know, D, but this is just so much for me, you know? Me and Patricia are having a baby. I don’t even believe myself when I say it."
"Well the flight’s been delayed for an hour. There’s weather difficulties wherever our plane is now. Look, Brian’s trying to calm her down. You’re not helping her by being in here."
As Patricia sat in her chair, Brian sat next to her, trying to keep her from crying so hard. As she continued sobbing, her cell phone started to ring. Since she could barely speak, Brian answered it. "Hello? No, you have the right number. Patricia can’t talk right now. Can I take a message?" His eyes widened as he listened to what the caller was saying. Everyone looked at him in silence. "Okay, I’ll tell her right away. Bye."
"What is it?" asked Nick, speaking for everyone.
"Patricia, you’re not pregnant."
